Don't give up on Herrin just yet and expect him to win a championship in his first 2-3 years. It'll take time for him to acclimate to the tires, chassis, engine, tracks, and level of competition. I do believe he can still cut but requires some time to learn.

RFS131: I hope Herrin is sandbagging!

Unfortunately starting to think he just can't hack it at this level...quite a surprise actually.

Brilliant, he's done 2 sessions round a track he's never seen before and you've already lost faith in him.

He's racing against some of the best in the world, he's not going to be in the top 10 straight away.

I fear for his future in this series. Having read all of his interviews since he's started in Moto2 and I think he will not integrate into the paddock. He needs to immerse himself into the culture and not hide away with other U.S. riders from WSB and WSS. It's a very hard environment he's in now and trying to pretend he's somehow still in the U.S. is not a recipe for success. No team is going to continue to carry a rider who is sooo far behind his team mate unless there's a lot of money involved.

That said, I really hope he grows up a little, starts to broadens his horizons and starts to make the pace required.
