I was watching it on BT Sports and they had Ben Spies commentating. This is the first time I've heard been speak and I'm amazed at how good he was at.

BT Sports, if you are reading this then hire Ben ASAP. I can't decide what was better this session, seeing Marquez obliterate the field or hearing Ben's commentary.

Who has given Marquez a set of those old qualifying Bridgestone tires.

In all honesty it's a forgone conclusion who will be the winner on Sunday, hope Pedrosa, Rossi and Lorenzo can close that gap, doubt it though.

Fingers crossed that this doesn't continue throughout the season.

It would be interesting to see Aleix Espargaro on a Repsol Honda. Wondering if Marquez's injury can stand a full race distance on such a physical track. That is the only hope for his competitors at this point.

Are you kidding, he doesn't have any injury at all.

As for the hopes of the competition... Yeah, there aren't that many I'm afraid.

A few of the faster guys, either JL or VR should manage to stay with him, Pedro doesn't count because he wouldn't attack him in any case, but I don't see that a very likely outcome, at least at this track.

Not a great fan of Spies but his contribution was excellent. Nice to have Gavin Emmett commentating for m2 and m3 as well.
