Ben wants to race, i can read between the lines.

I hope he can mend his shoulder to racing condition one day.

Comebacks rarely happen but one can only hope!!

I wish him or colin would start a program like vr46 to grow some americans to compete on a world stage

Honest assessment of his skills. I was a big fan, but the last two years were hard to watch. Like he said, on a perfect day no one could beat him. Now that there are only three guys with a legitimate shot at winning a race MotoGP could use a few more Ben Spies'!

Now there's a guy that get's it. Supremely confident while still having the humility to honestly critique himself. Refreshing to hear in this "selfie" world we live in.

Continued success in all of your future endeavors BS11.

I thought his commentary with BT sport was great. Now that he's out of racing his personality is starting to shine through, I always thought of him as a bit stiff, but now it makes sense after reading his comments here. Really really miss him racing, always a fan.

April 18, 2014 8:45 AM to be a pain, but can I have my 'page turners' back.
There is no fun to be had if I can only read or comment on page one.

Great guy 'the Ben'. Remember his laconic response on why he lost on the line to Casey ?........ "He was on a Honda." :)

Is he carefully avoiding the mention of Rossi's name ??

Top bloke and with a bit more luck on his side would still be winning races however I think he made the right decision to retire under the circumstances.

Interesting to read his comments regarding Mladin who incidentally never cut it in europe and had to go to the states to do his winning - much like ex F1 drivers. And I always had him down as a d.ckhead too.

Great to hear Ben on good form
