If this comment was made as an ambassador for the sport, fair enough.

However, if he means as a competitive rider, with all due respect, I don't really see it happening.

It would be great to see Rossi lift number 10 though..

Buelliful .

I think he was saying this as an ambassador for Bridgestone (as he is actually). Strange when you think of all the times when the tyres have been blasted by the riders (and Rossi) that now they like them.

re: “For me I think it is bad news because - okay the riders all fight to have the best tyres for them [personally] - but I think the quality of the Bridgestones is very, very high and I don't know if another supplier can arrive at the same level.”

YOU TELL 'EM ROSS...!!!

With all the problems Bridgestone has given on abrasive tracksim surprised he says they are better, but i guess he knows better. After all he is their development ambassador and he gets top dollar from them, so yeah surely, Bridgestone is the best?

how could you say otherwise. Bridgestone realy is a great tyre. They had some problems like PI but PI wasn't always like that on the tyres.Michelin run like a chicken because they could not compeet with bridgestone at all, and bridgestone kept improving a tyre that woks most of the times for all riders. But you can make everyone happy, but they made alot riders happy. Stoner the drifter mm the drifter MM the drifter late braker, rossi late braker, JL the highest lean angle and corner speed. so the tyre was developed for alot of riders with diff styles. But if bridgestone would stay..... nobuddy would choose other tyres, befor they are up to the task bridgstone provides it takes them years! So bridgestone has to leave.

I know where you're going with this, and I'll just say this before some of you guys get back to your regularly scheduled programs....

....these guys trust the Bridgestones (with their lives), and they've had experience with the other brands. When faced with the peril of not having the Bridgestones, I can understand why they're alarmed. While not perfect, the BS's were the best of the bunch (their words, not mine), so another manufacturer producing tires my result in calamity like '08/09.
