VR46 still has it. Even with all the hardware and money, Vale's still's got those competitive juices flowing. Doesn't matter if it's in a MotoGP race, or out at "Area 46" with his friends.

Before anyone anoints the kid as greatest ever, take a look at The Doctor's trophy cabinet.

There's something about post-adversity Rossi that may make him more enjoyable to watch. Its pretty much impossible to even consider a return to form unless one legitimately has enthusiasm for riding itself. Its infectious, especially for fellow riders who get to watch him

Vale is on right way. Developing the bike with the hard tyres really gives him confidence. Its a fact that hard tyre is not good to yamaha characteristics. Knowing this also vale done well with hard tyres so far. If he had confidence with hard ones he automatically do well in the medium tyres. I don't understand the strategy of jorge. Ride the bike with soft and then telling that he done well if he chose soft tyres in jerez really? It is not possible to maintain consistence pace with soft tyre in 27 laps race.

Good to hear. Any positive news for any rider other than marquez is inspiring.

We may have an exciting season after all!

If not, im fine with watching to see what records marquez will break.

This guy is such a legend, and he seems to be just as fast as everyone else on the grid now (MM may have an edge but you know what I mean).

At 35, he seems to be as enthusiastic and determined as ever, keep it up Vale, you are just winning even more respect (and trophies!).

Every riders setup and preference are different. The riding styles of Rossi and Lorenzo are different. And how do you know the harder tyre does not work well with M1?

It was good to see Rossi finish in the podium again, but really hope to see more of a battle between the 4 factory riders, right now Marc is running away with it, and while it may be amazing to some, I feel its getting boring now.

Valentino has never lost it !!! Problem these days though is that the bike has got to be 100% or a rider doesn't stand a chance! Gone are the days when you could ride around problems as the bike will pack in now if it isn't doing what it says on the tin!!!!

We also gave some good advice and direction to improve the bike.”

Its not like he can't! 2004! now 10 years later i have no doubt he can do it again.
Rossi lost Yamaha when he moved to ducati but Yamaha also lost Rossi. Yes Yamaha had/has a strong rider(jl) but not for real development.
Glad Rossi is back to push in the right direction!
Go Rossi!
