"The position is really bad but I was surprised with my lap time and to be quicker than last year is a big bonus, but it's just not quick enough" - Cal Crutchlow.

Hmmmm......I suppose all of the talk in the preseason really is coming back to bite him now that the Ducati honeymoon is over. The GP is my favorite bike on the grid aesthetically.

"The Englishman however was keen to stress again the importance of remembering the progress that is being made by Ducati: "As I said you have to look at the positives and this is my first year with the Ducati and it's the fastest that I've gone around here but I can't expect to be able to compete with the other guys when I'm not comfortable and confident on the bike."

Sounds like a lot of back pedaling. Seems he's in
Damage Control mode with his comments. Maybe
someone pointed out how shooting his mouth off
might not be helping his plight.

Dovi has had an extra year over Cal to learn the bike's foibles, of which it clearly has a few.

The bike is improving and Cal is learning it, give him time. It's not like he's forgotten how to ride in the off season!

Kwack636R,

True,Dovizioso has an extra year over him,but from beginning he was the leading figure in the team, beating Hayden times and above all giving a direction to the development. Not the case with Crutchlow,he's just not there.
