When was the last time you saw Jorge go 2 races without being on the podium without injury? Same for last time you saw neither him or Pedrosa on the podium not due to injury.

I respect Lorenzo a lot, but he's had so much good luck since entering motogp, it's nice to see him have some of Rossi's fortune. Today just showed if you get away fast and make a gap then when others are circulating at a similar pace later in the race that's when you get the podiums. To clarify Rossi did what Jorge normally does today and Jorge had Valentino luck of being held up and coming mid pack. The first few laps make such a huge difference.

Of course he's frustrated...
He had a stellar year last year despite riding with injury and winning more races than anyone even though he lost the title by 4 points...

You don't just lose that form over pre-season testing.

Yamaha changed the bike's electronics to work with the drop in fuel and Bridgestone have stuffed up the tyres for Yamaha in general so I think he's a little lost at the minute.

It might just be a bit of A 'Rossi 2006' for Lorenzo but he will bounce back.

I can understand JL's frustration. Last year he did all that hard work on lesser material and finished 2nd, and now all hopes were on him to do it again on seemingly even lesser material. He's probably thinking it's not worth the extra effort and risks just to struggle for 2nd if he's lucky, because if DP is on form best the yams can manage is 3rd.

I see no logic in moving Lorenzo to Honda. There would be a bitter rivalry between him and Marquez. Why would a team want their riders taking points from each other? Pedrosa is an ideal no2 rider for Marquez and Honda. Lorenzo would never settle for a 'wingman' status. It would end up just like Alonso/Hamilton pairing in F1 in 2007.

I disagree, Not an 06 Rossi by any stretch. Firstly Nicky Hayden is my favorite rider on the grid. But Rossi did not simply come in 6th with out some serious help in 2006 I.e. Tires falling apart, or engine blow ups, getting taken out by other riders that and he probably had the worst M1 of his carreer that year.
I think MM and Val are right JL is just frustrated. Mugello is a Lorenzo M1 track. His best shot to win this year. A heads up I was just faster win for JL will fix his season. But beating first Rossi then MM is going to take him being inch perfect all weekend. That's a long shot for him at the moment.
