TrueFan: I'm glad to see Dovi is staying at Ducati. He's a solid rider, and a world champion. He is the benchmark rider for Ducati to use to measure progress of their development. His consistency allows them to guage whether changes are working or not, and he is good enough to give worthwhile feedback. Of the current riders available, Dovi is the most important for Ducati to re-sign. Andrea Ionnone has enormous potential, but Dovi is a known quantity. Cal is still unknown on Ducati - not all due to him.

Bang on.

And I bet codger will be happy :)

re: "On a serious note though who are Suzuki going to get?"

I've already covered this. same as I did for Ross, same as I did for Dan, etc. RDP and Norge.

re: "My guess is A Espargaro"

right then, stop guessing. Hamamatsu can't give their seats away let alone ask anybody with talent to come ride for them.

JLO is not way better than Dani, and if you go by 2012, Dani pretty much owned Lorenzo after the tires decided to swing the other way and Dani won almost every race after mid season. Lorenzo is a solid rider who is better than Rossi, but so are most of the riders on the grid :) surprise surprise, Casey was right when he said Rossi wasn't special, Rossi and Marc are there because the guys who hold all the cards the house is built on, want them to be in front of the cameras sucking up your attention and interest.

JL owned 2012 by pushing hard the first half of the season and his pre season he trained as only rider on racecraft. JL was smart letting dani win the races that didnt matter anymore and settled for easy second, the smart rider JL. dani couldnt do nothing by then anymore. dani was pushing for nothing JL was so far ahead it didnt matter anymore hrc saw that to and wanted JL with them instead of dani! so like all the years with dani it was byebye again. cs/vr/jl/nh

I agree that Dovi is better than most people have given him credit for, but I feel your other ranking is wrong. JLO is having a shocking season, but he is WAY better than Pedrosa, and I feel him and Vale are closely matched.

Dovi is doing a good worck, is a consistente rider and like Richard1967 speack i also agree that he grow upon is riding, he simply took more time to arrive at thi level, i think that if he had one good bike and Team worcking with him 4sure he could beat Rossi, Lorenzo or Pedrosa... But that is somethingh that he will have to prove now IF Ducati give him one bike that is on level or better then Corrente Japonese Machines.. We will see how Dovi Mind will be because next Year iannone will be on Fire, i mean with more experience and maybe a better Ducati, So Dovi will have a good rival..

Wise but forced move for Dovi , I reckon he's riding better now than when he was on either the Repsol Honda or the Tech 3 Yamaha , So if Ducati can get over themselves and make a bike for Him , He'll be a regular podium finisher IMO hes better than Lorenzo and close to Rossi and Pedrosa , then again I think Crutchlow could be , but anyway I hope Dovi can kick more MotoGP butts , like he has done all this season
