Extremely nice to see very high quality interview also from Kallio in the crash.net site (who is very offen a little bit of the radar in news and marketing sense). I think this story is one of the best, like the previous HP interview, covering many things about the sports in general, career, riding and Mika's career aspects.

I really hope that Mika will succeed this year in the championships and hopefully get a change even to win it! I truly hope also tha Kallio would get a proper change in satellite Honda or Yamaha in MotoGP that I think he truly deserves on a talent wise. Heh, perhaps he should try to get German or British passport with 1993 birth date and a doze of botox to get that opportunity, as the speed and talent ain't the problems at the moment. =D

It was once more to see the answer for the team mate question.. :) The guy doesn't stress much, even though competing with high profile team mate. Heh, if I remember correctly in the beginning of the season, he more or less said

Heh, if I remember correctly in the beginning of the season, he more or less said slightly sarcastictically that he has been riding long enough to know where the front brake, handlebars and front wheel is on the bike and therefore it is only about getting the bike setup properly, together with the crew, in order to be successfull. =D

@Zamb
I don't think Mika would get an offer for GP - he's 31 and a bit old for any competitive ride. Also he is in a top M2 team, that he likes, has a crew he likes, a bike he likes and he is winning races. He could well get the title this year too.
For Mika, it doesn't get any better than that. No move would provide the complete set. He realises that and is happy to stay and good luck to him.

As an ambassador for moto2, he is ideal (more than be said for some others)

Yeah, I think also realistically that Kallio most likely won't get an opportunity anymore on a really competitive bike (satellite), which is a big pitty. I think reasons would be mostly in marketing/business side (~5 high speed racing years left) I really hope still that I'm wrong in this one. :)From the race/show perspective I would love to see him again on a proper motogp bike (he also said in the interview that GP bikes suit his style a lot better than moto2). He is also the only absolute top talent level rider from our country in the series and there won't be other backing him up within 5-10 years (if ever).

The only long shot might be in 2016 if the cheapest honda would prove to be competitive, then he might take the change. Based on his comments I think that he might not be that interested about taking a leap for updated "cheap honda" next year with a hope of getting competitive bike under, because incompetitive career killer Ducati bike times are still fresh in the mem

fresh in the memory. The guy is an extreme racer, like 2 handfulls of the best riders and will defenety prioritize the change of winning over the possibility to ride from positions 10+ In motoGP. Unfortunate he ain't rossis caliber superstar that could cover with a blink of an eye from a career killer Ducati. =D

Only extremely long shot in 2015 might be LCR, as I believe redding will take bautistas seat and HP has downplayed allmost all competive racers on 20+ age.. And why Bradls seat? Bradl has failed to use opportunity, lacks race pace, Miller or anyone else from kindergarder can't get the performance out of the bike and all the other remaining caliber guys has blew their chances or rejected offer allready (e.g. The rumour that rabat had also LCR offer on the table but wanted to wait for even a bigger boom/suppory in order to challenge Marques)
