Dov had had a good few years in MotoGP by that point, so it is not comparing like for like and i think you will find handed his ass is a massive over statement.

Nope Dovi only had 1 season at tech 3. Cal had 3.

rbr46: We saw what he can do on the tech 3 but there really is no excuses next year. When cal teamed with Dovi at tech 3 he got his a** handed to him.

I agree there will be no excuses next year and Cal really will need to turn up, however, to say Dovi handed him his a*** is a bit much! as Dovi had superior equipment (remember the buying his own brakes saga) than Cal, and also far far more track knowledge as having come through the ranks at the same tracks for years.
@conga, cal had been at tech3 the year before Dovi, but I get your point.

Well...there is my confirmation...I just asked for less than 1 minute ago.....

PS Just because he got a Honda does not mean he will be able to do well on it... he said it himself...he spent 3 year learning to ride like Lorenzo...he had to copy a style..to get fast...if the Honda requires a different style, he will still struggle although not like he was at Ducati!! He adapts slowly and I cannot see him breaking any boundaries in first year!! maybe he will show some pace at end of 2015 as he gets used to it...

However...I hope he stuffs all that mess and make me eat my shoe!!because we need more riders at the front of GP!!!

Just like what post on other topic. His result on honda will not be any difference than brdle this year. Though the bike is capable to be in the podium but now that rossi found his ground again on M1 and marquez is far more superior than last year when cal is mixing it out with the guys. I still find it hard to believe that he wil
