thats cause he knows his slower teammate is getting priority with the bike and electronics. He realizes that it doesn't matter how good he is, its whether or not he can bring sponsorship money in that counts. He realizes that he might have to leave GPs sooner rather than later because hes not a hot commodity, needed to help keep Stoner from dominating every race, because now it doesn't matter about talent, it's only about whether MM or Rossi can put on a good show for the people who can't see what's right in front of their eyes.

I think the 2nd half of the season will be better for Jorge.

At Sachsenring he seemed to get over the tyre problem on one of the most undulating tracks on the calendar this year.

If that's the case I still think 2nd in the championship is still in reach...Jorge's made his season's mistakes and all it'll take is Pedrosa and Rossi to make theirs.

And out of all the riders on the grid I still think Jorge is the only one who has the sheer speed and fighting ability shown earlier at Mugello to fight with Marquez.

JP73: ..anyone that got a clue why Jorge (or Yamaha?) is dragging so with signing of 2015 contract?

According to Speedweek, a German Motogp publication, he has signed for 1 year as he is rumoured to move to Ducati for the 2016 season, working with Gigi Dall'igna, the guy who helped him win his 2 250cc titles and winning races on a 125cc Derbi.

"Surely a rider should be giving his best in every race!"

True. But sometimes their best is not the very best best, so they need to be constantly bettering their best to make it even better.

"I really hope he gets his mojo back because he is the only one who genuinely has the capability to take it to MM."

I would like to believe that too but having just re-watched the 2013 Indy GP I must say that if Marc doesn't win this one, it'll be because he was trying too hard or taken out. Lorenzo's style is very precise which suits the Yam and Marc's is very loose which goes with the Honda.
