Spudgun: "will consider a 'major change' to the settings of Alvaro Bautista's bike" - by putting him on the open bike and letting Scott ride the factory bike

was just about to write that!

As much as I'd like to see Redding on the Showa/Nissin factory Honda, I can't understand what has happened to Bautista. He's always been prone to crashing, which is an occupational hazard for some riders more than others, but I don't get how he doesn't look like being competitive. He's a better rider than his results show. Unfortunately, the results are what they are, and good guy or not, his ride is more than on the line now...He's had a good run at it.

My understanding is that part of the negotiations with SR are to get onto Ohlins and brembo's for next season so he can compete on similar machinery.

But then that was from MCN and lets face it recent front page news has not led me to believe anything they say lol.

Chopper51: Who knows, maybe the satellite bikes aren't as close to the Honda Factory bikes as we are made to believe? Both Bautista and Bradl are having a terrible season this year!

On a similar train of thought.......Pedrosa isnt exactly setting the GP world on fire either.......just an observation

Wasn't their fault this time to be fair, Cal fed them a load of crap. He did the same thing at WDW.

Other times they just get it very wrong on their own :)

It may well be.
Note that the latest Fireblade SP has Ohlins & Brembo's. It does appear that Honda has recognised that the Showa kit isn't up to the same level, even though they actually own the company!
