How can a guy whos won 7 world titles, broke so many records came 2nd in the championship when the bike and or tires havnt been as competitive be ordinary? Every rider has commented that when they have been behind Rossi he looks like he is workin the bike and himself so hard to make what is a rubbish bike so competitive where is Colin and most of the other guys on mich's rubber? Too many people r talkin as if Rossi is past it, a has been. He still has World champs in him. He might win the title next year and everyone will remember just how good he really is, afterall a true champ is able to go through the bad times and still have the skill and passion to win at what they love to do the best.

I agree with mick totally, casey did a fantastic job last year. Although he was on a honda it was way down in the pecking order for factory support AND he had no teammate to swap data with re setup. To fight up the front in a lot of races was brillant

Being good at everything does get boring, but that's the price us Aussie's have to pay. Coming from the greatest country in the world does help us carry this burden.
Loud mouths never just confident we are the best.Being made up from people from 142 other nations is an advantage, with our convict past some of the best judges in the UK picked us to be here?????

Casey did a fantastic job last year, the LCR team however was so bad they nearly killed off a great talent with dangerous setup decisions,

Fact: Rossi won many WC on A-bikes & A-tyres, he would not have as many races on a customer bike with B-tyres, he would of still been fast just not win every race fast.

Rossi has the biggest Aus fan base so to say we are racist is ignorent of truth and is it self racist.

Imagen if Elias or De puniet or some other mid field rider had the best bike and tyres for ever they would be up the front and winnig.

Bridgstone doe'snt have an A-tyre, they have different size and construction as well as compound choices. all riders pick from same list

Valentino Rossi has crashed his bike a few times over the past 2 seasons. Now before people think I am picking on Rossi, we have to asked why Rossi crashed.

My guess would be that he was pushing the bike, trying to keep up with Hayden in 06 and also Stoner in 07. Maybe the setting on his bike was not 100%, the tyres, etc. forcing him to ride at 110% in place of 100%.

Now maybe this same thing would count for Stoner crashing on a single bike, 3rd tier, Customer Honda, I guess we could also excuse the fact the LCR was in it's first year of Motogp, with previous experince in the 250 and 125cc classes with Aprilla.

Hey Racefan, I did say BEST not PERFECT, good to see the Pommie sense of humour coming to the fore which seems to be somewhat lacking in this forum, all the Poms that I know in this country have a great sense of humour, looks like the ones that have stopped at home have lost it, perhaps you should go to the Aussie Consulate and come here and enjoy the fun,,,,,Best luck in the Rugby.

if customer honda's are so bad? how come gibernau was able to push rossi in 2003 & 2004 without full HRC support.

It's pretty simple really, the ducati works well out of the box, wherever u take it, and the package has clicked with moaner.

When moaner decides he wants to ride and inferior bike, like the 2004 yamaha which rossi won on, then he will be one of the greats, at the moment he has just sealed his first championship, if he wins more, then he will get as much respect as rossi.

I dont think moaner will win the title next season, but to write rossi off, after coming 2nd in the championship, 2yrs running is pathetic, shows what you levels of knowladge about racing really are...

...moaner is a good rider yes, he has great ability to do 100% from the word go and yes he's world champ this year.

Hopefully next season things will even out, tyres and bikes will be almost equal, if he wins the championship then, well no one can argue.

But if ur gonna write rossi off, write pedrosa off as well, he's only won 1 race this season and what about the others, melandri and hayden...are they finished as well?

If the yamaha is sorted next season and the tyres are right, we'll see a great fight and we've seen what rossi can do when the bike works, Jerez, Mugello, Assen and Estoril have shown he still has the fight and the capability to be world champ again.

Re Neighbours no one said you have to watch it, if you didn't it would have been killed off years ago. And that from the country that produces Eastenders!
