How can a guy whos won 7 world titles, broke so many records came 2nd in the championship when the bike and or tires havnt been as competitive be ordinary? Every rider has commented that when they have been behind Rossi he looks like he is workin the bike and himself so hard to make what is a rubbish bike so competitive where is Colin and most of the other guys on mich's rubber? Too many people r talkin as if Rossi is past it, a has been. He still has World champs in him. He might win the title next year and everyone will remember just how good he really is, afterall a true champ is able to go through the bad times and still have the skill and passion to win at what they love to do the best.

Yeah good call/observation saltbush, and before I cue the stoner hater and anti australins, the second person team27 helped was a welsh man named Chaz Davies.
Oh and by the way a constant word thrown around by ex racers and journos' is Humble
and one comparison if I may, Casey said in post race interveiw "Im proud to be a Ducati man" he was slightly embarresed and shy but he stood up for his beleive and that was a big moment for his fans here, solid gold commitment that solidified our believe in him as a person of good character, he was/is growing in confidence give him a chance to work out what to do with it.

When was the last time Rossi said as much about Yamaha..

He doesn't have to be a Rossi or whatever, his place in the standings is totally clear.
Someone just needs to explain to him what role he has as the current worldchampion
and where his place in the history of the sport is.
Then he maybe take this with him in interviews.

Rossi is very open and clear in interviews like this one by Beattie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-CtsfmodLs

Yet some people now criminalize him and turn him into some kind of cheating monster.
Says more about the people than about him.

Rossi - Ordinary? Dont think so. He was the fasted bike out there by far after the Ducatis. How can people say he has always had the best package? He left Honda for Yamaha who had been nowhere for years until he came along. It is plain to see that the top speed of the Yam is down on most of the others, I rate Colin very highly but this year he has been nowhere near Vale all season. This year Bridgestone and Ducati especially with Casey have been the package to beat. When Vale has slowed up from a fight it have been the tyres not him.

Ace27 no matter who Casey was riding for or what bike he was on you never heard him critise it or it's tires no matter what happened, and it's still the same never a bad word about Ducati or the team or the tires,if he says the track is bumpy it's bumpy if he says it's slippery it's slippery,he is is not making excuses he is talking fact, and no matter how many arm chair critics say he is making excuses he still wins on the bumpy, slippery or dangerous track,so any fear he has of these circumstances he rides through them, thats why he's World Champion.I have nothing against Rossi if he said the track is bumpy,it's bumpy I won't challenge anybody who knows more than me so thats all MotoGP riders

Firstly, Stoner fully deserves this championship.
Secondly, Rossi is not finished, in the past when he's had a pig of a bike he's been able to beat the pack in on track battles. This season Stoner has been so far infront of everyone that it has been impossible on the Yam/Michelin combo. Anyone who watched last year will know that Rossi was the best rider out there by far, only multiple bike and tyre failures throughout the season cost him that championship, not one mistake in the final round. To say that Rossi has always had the best package is naive, the Yamaha was regarded as a difficult bike to ride and even now riders have commented that the bike looks awful to ride when following Rossi.

I paid hommage to some great Aussie riders in the past,
and was always under the impression that you were a very relaxed laidback people.
I refuse to change that impression, even though every bit of critisizm on you young hero
seems to set some of you completely alight and go into a fit, slamming people and cultures
and giving the idea that you suffer from some kind of image problem.
What is the matter, are people underestimating Australia or Australians all the time?
Please tell me because the dispropotion of your reactions seem to indicate that.

To the critics of Casey in interviews,to the critics of Dani in interviews,to the critics of all riders who do not handle interviews well YET, they are all great riders not politicians, can the critics remember how they handled their first public speaking engagement??? If you think the above riders are a bit iffy wait till you hear Westy the critics will have a field day. Just mentioning Westy's father got in a fight at PI, unfortunately West senior could not fight back being an ex professional boxer his fists are classified as a weapon in Australia

Grromm, I wouldn't worry too much about underestimating Australia or Australians. There is a thing called mateship, we defend our own and this is simply the case in this forum. Clearly some of the Aussie readers here have not enjoyed people bagging out Stoner for no good reason, when clearly he is the difference on the Ducati, otherwise as has been said over and over the other three Ducati would be 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the championship. Just watch Stoner, his bike bucks and weaves all over the place, his lines are on the edge, sure his tyres give him some confidence, which we don't deny. But in reality he is a champion. Don't get us all wrong, Rossi is also a champion's champion!!!

Grromm, the only way you will find out what Aussies are really like is to visit our fair land, you cannot draw conclusions from a dozen people on a public forum, Aussie's are not racialist's in fact our population is made from 142 other countries cultures, of all colours and creeds. On this forum anybody can claim to be an Aussie and nobody can prove otherwise a keyboard doesn't have an accent.
Lets get on with the Malasia GP,, rain tires and floaties will be important, a snorkel would be an advantage if the race starts after 3.30pm local :D
