MOTOGP » Stoner: We could have won with this

On a day when many riders were switching teams in preparation for next season, MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner reminded them all that he's the man to beat by setting an untouchable pace.

Speaking of look a likes...Is it just me or does anyone else reckon Rossi is the splitting image of "Krusty the Clown"

So someone should start a thread for the clown fans, should be bloody hysterical,.... 'WHY YOU DONT LIKE CASEY' :?

Hey Gromm(Morgue) where you been??? why the different name? still trying to control peaple thoughts I see

Hey here is one for the books; The group of peaple that run onto the track to celebrate with Rossi are the same peaple every race, They are unemployed Italians Rossi pays to have them at every track its his personal rent a crowd. He is the only motogp rider to pay a crowd for there support?????

No ace, its Stoner with a few fans. I was at Valencia and when Vales bike failed about 50,000 people walked out - MotoGP without Vale will be a lesser sport. Yes, it shows that there are a lot of Rossi "groupies" as everyone puts it, but almost everyone who was at Valencia had some item of clothing that had 46 on it even if they had a Pedrosa or Stoner t-shirt on - it was unbelieveable - this guy commands amazing respect - he got a standing ovation for every lap! Even from non-fans!

Djh, the comment about 50,000 leaving when Vale pulled into the pits is a dire insight into modern society. If you were there to see the spectacle of men risking their career/ life for their (rider) satisfaction AND to please the crowd then great.
If on the other hand you were there to watch a special person in his multi coloured leathers waltz about and win by a country mile then you will be disapointed now, and probably alot in the future. It's like the hype in England here when we had Fogarty. It was packed at Brands Hatch to the brim of 50% "new" watchers that were their to see what they were TOLD to watch, not what they WANTED to watch.

Hello mister Ace27,
since you came to this forum a week ago there has bee nothing but negativity in your postings,
you must be a newcomer to this sport. Are there any riders you like or are you just here for slamming people?
This I don't understand :?

Strange man...
anyway you're right DJH, our TV commentators from Valencia also said that it was Rossi merchandise everywhere,
with just a little corner for Ducati stuff. Goes to show how popular the guy still is,
may we enjoy him racing for many years to come :) :)

Why are people berating Stoner, Doohan did exactly the same as him (clear off and criticise)yet he never got the stick Casey is getting. And unlike last years fluke he will win more races and not just be kept on because he represents a good sales market
