Zoom,,, this comment of urs can Doom you ! Beware of what u wish. Lorenzo has no idea how fast the ducatis & the hondas are and only Rossi with his exceptional talent has kept them close.

Lorenzo has to leave yamaha to win anything in Motogp.

I just don't think Lorenzo is gonna make that big a splash in the MOTOGP Pool. Hell, I DO think that JT will have better results during the first half of the year, especially at the tracks that WSBK uses....time will tell, though.

I predict Lorenzo will finish ahead of Rossi in the championship.

IF Lorenzo puts in a similar performance to Colin Edwards in 2007 (or worse), then some Rossi doubters may possibly have to eat humble pie, especially if JT comes sailing by on an inferior bike finishing ahead of Suzuki/Kawasaki... (dream on I know).

Either way, Lorenzo will be sniffing at HRC for 2010 if Nicky Hayden finishes up 8th again in the championship, or worse for 2008/2009.

Can't wait for the new season!

It's good to see so many new riders coming through in one season. I hope they all get up to speed quickly and start ruffling some feathers next season. After all these guys are gonna be the future of motogp in a few years.

Yes Rossi is very aware how fast the Ducatis and Hondas are - they have overtaken him enough times :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hawkeye,

all the new riders will probably make for an accident filled 2008,
especially when team start wanting to get results and put a little pressure on them.
Maybe your idea of racing is to 'refresh' the field every year, having rookies lose the front at every corner
and taking out the real podium contenders...
When you look at this season there were really three players, Stoner, Pedrosa and Rossi.
They all stay on the same bikes and sharpen their knives.
Let's hope they can fight it out next season without being rammed out of contention.

Go Jorge!
Keep in mind that, while Rossi is on the Fiat Yamaha factory team, he isn't going to be an ally and he's going to try hard to never let you be in front of him. Don't worry, you'll get there. Build up your speed slowly, without hurting yourself early and then kick his butt later. ;)

i'll bet lorenzo will be frustrated on that yamaha thing, his lap time was not impressive, he should switch manufacturer ... remember when melandri went to the premier class riding a yamaha that ended up throwing him all over the place, but instantly smell success aboard a honda ... correct me if i'm wrong, but i guess since the 4 stroke era only biaggi and rossi won on that thing, these are two guys with enormous talent ... I don't think lorenzo is on the same league ... he's probably another edwards in the making
