There were some 250's also on track:

Finnish rider Mika Kallio made a record lap time in today's tests at Valencia. He rode almost a half second faster than on Saturday, when he took a pole position for the last race of season. Today Mika's fastest time was 1.34,898 and his pole position's time was 1.35,166.

Nobody has earlier ridden under 1.35 by 250cc bike at this circuit, so I'm surprised at speed of our new bike. It was a very positive thing. Also team was very excited about that, Mika said

KTM with Kallio will see many times on 250 podium next season! :)

I was wondering whether or not 'crash' was gonna cover the other classes' riders' test times. Aren't there a few other riders coming up from 125s to 250s?? :?

Kallio will be one 250 champ contender next year 2008 and then ready to MotoGP 2009. It seems that KTM has made good new bike for next year. Have to hope that they have resolved technical failures like this year they had.

Well, he's fast and a nice bloke but also has the tendency to drop it every once in a while...

What about Pasini? It seems as if he would have been fighting for the title this year had his bike not let him down every other race.

Could he be a contender for the '08 250 title? I hope he is on a fast-track to MOTOGP, maybe Aprilia will be back in the 800cc class by that time and can put him on a decent bike for all the loyalty he has shown...
