Gina, You are unbelievable.
Pedrosa has never ridden another bike other than the FACTORY HONDA and he hasn't won. Can he not ride any other bike? Rossi is the only one to have swapped and won. But guess what the last 2 years he has not won so even the great Rossi needs the best bike on the grid to win. What is your fantiasy arguement. Grow up and face the facts that Stoner is the fastest rider in MotoGP at the moment. He knows how to win and has the fire in the belly that gives him the drive to win.

MOTOGP » Stoner: We kept getting faster and faster...

The 2007 season may have only finished on Sunday, but MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner shows no signs of throttling off - the Australian having dominated the first post-season test session, at Valencia.

Pratt, And you are an authority on who knows what. I know enough from 20 yrs of watching motorcycle racing of every variety (dirt, road, circuit). I have also been riding bikes for a similar period of time. I must admit I haven't raced a bike on a track but I rarely get dropped on a ride on the local twisties. I have also thrown it down the road a couple of times too. Now that is one way to learn a bit!
I certainly don't know it all. Stick me on a MotoGP bike and I would get it around a track but that would be about it. What I do know is that Rossi fans are generally not motorcycle racing fans they are groupies. I also know that Stoner has ridden the Ducati and Bridgestone better than rest!

Hmmm been reading this thread with amusement! The Rossi fans are quite deluded obviously. Re advatages? 1. Traction control, thats cods wollop! you dont think Rossi was getting overnight brewed up sticky race Michelins during his previous title winning years. Look at whats happened when the rules changed from unlimited free custom rubber for Rossi?? 2. Anyone here old enough to remember a bloke called Mick Doohan hmmmm?? Rossi walked straight into his developed championship winning HRC team and Micks machine, Rossi for years has had simply the finnest crew chief in the game (Jerry Burgess) You want so get over your one sided predictable sore loser whinging... welcome to the new revolution.

Parker, 20 years of racing eh? I take it that means you are an adult? There's a suprise, I pictured you as about 15... You know nowt mate so stop making out you do. You keep harping on about "Rossi Groupies"... It is obvious that Rossi is the **** on your shoes where as Stoner is your new fancy man. You are crap because you have absolutely NO objectivity. Everything Rossi says or does is an "excuse", whereas you are Stoner's ****-ring... You would be taken more seriously if you were a bit more balanced. I am NOT a Rossi fan, but I do realise the guy has been a major driving force in the popularity of MotoGP, as well as one of the best of all time. Scoff if you will (which you will no doubt WILL) Anyone who says he isn't and reasons his success as being lucky is a stupid pratt... Stoner is amazing, but come on! Just stop being a "Stoner Groupie" (his army is growing) and try and give your arguments a bit more objectivity. When Stoner has won a few more chamionships, he will be up there with the greats. 2007 is the first year of 800cc and many regulations. Many have benefited and many been hindered... Give it a year or 2 to settle down to competitive racing (sadly lacking in 2007)...

Lets face it Rossi is the most passionate rider out there by a mile. He races to compete and more than that to win. How many race wins does he have again? He has another great thing about him and that is the recognistion of greatnes and profesionalism. He has the best Crew Chief out there and the best pit crew. Most of those guys have worked with previous Champs. If you read about Rossi you will notice that he always had people that he wants on the team. He knew that they would help him go faster. As for the new Champ, nothing more to say than he always had it in him, he just needed a competitive machine.

Give the Kid a break!!! Everything about best bike, best this, best that! Thats how it goes. But who was the closest Bridgestone rider? John Hopkins? The Suzuki couldn't have been to bad as Vermeullen won a race and finished higher in the standing than Loris! Who was 201 points behind stoner! Yes he had good gear but he just flogged the bike all year! Pushed it 100%. He was the most consistant rider all year! He has a long way to go before he can even be considered in the same league as Mick Doohan or Rossi but hey its his second year in the top class and he's won it! Just like Rossi. Who are we to bad mouth him for what he's done this year! He's world champ and what are we!!!

Parker Prett, I only disagree on one point. Mate it does not matter weather it is the first season of 800ccs, 990ccs, 1200ccs, 500ccs all these bikes are prototypes for each year. How about Rossi winning the first race on the 990cc bikes?? He blasted the filed by a 100 miles and did so until he went to Yamaha. And at Yamaha he really showed what he and the team were made of, no body will ever dispute that. Biaggi and Gibernau were eating they words after that I am sure. It is all about the best package for each season really. You either have what it takes to win or you dont.

PARKER I have been riding for about 6 years and training for the next race season at my local tracks so when you make statements about the average person don't ride/race bikes make sure you know what you are talking about  Stoner got what he worked for this year and for that I say job well done the ducati for years was slag and now it has arrived. Rossi on the other hand has proved himself over and over again with leaving Honda for the said slow, incapable Yamaha and won it two years in a row!! FACT now for whatever reason Yamaha got caught wit their pants down. For, anyone who thinks Yamaha will sit back and let this pass them bye, I need to see it before I believe it. next year

PARKER......TO FURTHER ANSWER YOUR STATEMENT

I have been riding for the last ten years or so just got serious about racing sense I have been doing allot of trackdays with friends. I left the canyons becauSe to many of my riding buddies have killed themselves or almost killed themselves trying to ride like they were on the track. Latr to find out that some of them were trying too keep up with me so, I feel that at the level that I ride requires a controlled environment for this cause we have all become faster and better riders becasue weall left the canyons :p :D  For the record I get eaten up at the tracks sometimes so these guys who ride GP area allthe greatest
