Gina, You are unbelievable.
Pedrosa has never ridden another bike other than the FACTORY HONDA and he hasn't won. Can he not ride any other bike? Rossi is the only one to have swapped and won. But guess what the last 2 years he has not won so even the great Rossi needs the best bike on the grid to win. What is your fantiasy arguement. Grow up and face the facts that Stoner is the fastest rider in MotoGP at the moment. He knows how to win and has the fire in the belly that gives him the drive to win.

MOTOGP » Stoner: We kept getting faster and faster...

The 2007 season may have only finished on Sunday, but MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner shows no signs of throttling off - the Australian having dominated the first post-season test session, at Valencia.

Someone mentioned that Rossy is MotoGP and he is the only exciting person. What about Sheene, Roberts, Uncini, Spencer, Lawson, Gardner, Rainey, Schwantz and Doohan?
(That's how old I am) Would you guys agree there was some "exciting" racing going on during these years? Some say it was boring when Doohan was winning all the time, well I can't think of anything more boring or predictable than Rossy maintianing a 3 second lead to the end of a race. I watched Rossy win 4 more times than I wanted to. I want to see a new champ every year. I am tired of Rossy. :)

Pratt, Insults are very ADULT! For your info. I have always been a supporter of Rossi. He is one of the greatest. I have never said otherwise. What I have done is argue against the reasons people put forward to suggest that Stoner is not a very good rider. I have also argued that Rossi has had at many times in his career (but not all) the best bike/tyres on the grid. Yet it is alright for Rossi to win with this advantage but for stoner it is not. I can not accept this arguement.

I have also always been a supporter of Stoner as I am an Australian and support my own.

I do not care if you think I am a child as your attacks speak more about you than they do me.

Twissta, I am not sure what you think I have said but I was only talking about my own experience and knowledge about motorcycles and motorcycle racing. I applaud your getting out there on track and going for it. I have wanted to do the same but know that due to my highly competitive nature I will go beyond my capabilities and bin it.

Finally I have never said Rossi has lost his talent or said that Yamaha is the best bike. What I have said and stand by is that I believe Rossi has lost his confidence. Motorcycle racing is a confidence game. I am sure you agree considering you do it. If Rossi can get his confidence back he will win again despite the bike and tyres if not he wont.

Finally Pratt, If we are to look at agree and disagree polls on most of my postings agrees generally win. If I am an idiot who knows nothing then I am well supported by al the other idiots who know nothing! If I have to choose between siding with them or you I will stick with the idiots.

I am just glad Casey did it when Rossi was around ;)

I remember Rossi running away with races.
And as far as Rossi winning 990 championship first out... He was the defending champ.

I think stonner had a great 1st year, like has been said he didn't start on a championship winning package (like Rossi).

But Rossi is all time best, for now..

Hmmm Twissta, I have been following motorcycle racing quiet a lot for the last 10 years and I remember Jeremy Burgess (Vales crew chief) saying that when he moved to Yamaha the were at about 80% of were the RC211V was but during the season Yamaha improved to be about 15 to 20% better. So Rossi and JB proved that it is the Rider who makes the bike go fast not the factory engineers. So when you take a closer look ever since Casey jumped on the Ducati they had just great results. End looking at the last test session Casey is not going to slow down any time soon to hand over the crown to Yamaha or Honda. Without a good fight ofcourse.

I cant beleive gromm has yet another name...Morgue hehehehe.

Peaple say Rossi is the best and say stoner only wins because of the bike and tyres, what they dont say is Rossi won 5 WC on A-tyres while while the rest had B-tyres.

Peaple say Rossi won on a lesser bike, what they dont say is Rossi had A-tyres and the rest had B-tyres

Peaple think stoner cant ride because he had 1 bad year on 1 bad bike with 1 bad team, what they dont say is Stoner has been winning bike races for 18 years without Traction Control.

The season has finished and so has Rossi and his Rogers credibillity.

Parker I was just addressing your comment about groupies up top in your 1st post, I too have been watching racing for awhile 10yr+- would drool when they would play it on wide wrld of sports. In europe you or they had this kinda of sport on tv more than we had or I even knew about. So the few races I saw Doohan and the rest race was the most exciting thing since sex LOL  i hope u were not offened :? I think it is very healthy for the sport that Hayde06, Stoner07 won it creates challenge for everyone.

Legend I agree wit u too but Ducati has paid their dues earlier when other teams were
better. The Duc was a beast to ride to much power and now we have tc which has tamed it

And now they are using it to there advantage. Part of it is good cause it keeps serious injury too a minimum xcept for the Kato death  but we all wouldlike to see the finese, talent exsposed like it once was. :? is how much finese does it take to ride a Gp bike now with the help of TC, probably allot! this is big business guys and it al boils down too money and how much can be made in a short period of time (season)Rossi, Pedrosa, Hayden and all the other stars have brought big bucks to the table for the companies they ride for which creates these rivalries among the fans and teams and even countries. Who got the best riders and from where so Fam have fun and share our opinions

I was at Valencia and to all that say that TC doesnt play a big part, I have to disagree. We were sitting at turn 2 and most other riders - except for Casey were so smooth through turn 1 and 2 into T3 - Casey was extremely ragged and if it hadnt been for TC he would have ended up like Vale. Dani was exceptional through those turns, and although Im not a fan of Dani, I have to say that I was extremely impressed. Saying that, I was a fan of Casey in 250's and think that he is a great rider - but I have to agree that if he wasnt on the Ducati, I doubt he would have won the WC this year, but all credit to him - he hardly put a foot wrong!
