What was it all the Rossi fanatics said?
Any fool could jump on the Ducati and do what Stoner can.
Well Melandri is no fool. A proven race winner.
Not so easy is it?

MOTOGP » Melandri suffers 'demanding' debut

Any hopes Marco Melandri may have had of being quickly up to new team-mate Casey Stoner's world championship winning pace were stunted by a 'demanding' debut for the Ducati Marlboro team.

Melandri and Stoner are almost the same size,,, the statistics are Stoner height 1.70cm weight 58kgs,,,Melandri height 1.68cm weight 58kgs, Gina I wouldn't say Melandri is the same size as Loris. I doubt whether Stoners set up will suit Meladri as Stoners set up is to the extreme, I believe this was one of Loris's problem trying get a Stoner set up to suit him, it would be better if Marco takes no notice of what Casey uses, and start with a blank page

The statistics that I have say that Melandri is 164cm 57 kg and Loris 165cm and poss a cpl kgs more than Marco. Stoner is a bit longer I think poss even 170+ a little. Dont think marco will try to adapt to stoners settings - he'll stay at a distance and do his own stuff / riders more like the 250's comparing to Loris so have a feeling will get better or get better faster on ducati than loris. I think he will.

Can we all slow down a bit. Melandri has only completed the FIRST test for heaven's sake. Not sure Stoner was that good on his first test (although I stand to be corrected). Let's give him some time and wait (if we can) for the first race.
