I think Hayden was testing a 16" rear tire and Dani was running the 16.5", which in post race testing Hayden swithced back to the 16.5" and ran .9 faster.

R&D should take place on test tracks not in gp races. Rossi's engine failure is another example of a testing gone bad in a race.

These guys are racers let them race, cut the politics, favoritism, and corporate crap that seems to be driving the sport right now.

MOTOGP » Q&A: Nicky Hayden

After a tough year on track defending his number one plate but without much luck, American Nicky Hayden is determined to take it back in 2008. He has put the new RC212V through its paces and was suitably impressed…..

its actually more personal to the guy hitting against hayden in the first post. as for stoner im sure he won't get insulted: that wouldnt be a part of his character/psyche;
have to say hayden was a podium champion and not a winner champion last year ..and yeah known for hard and good efforts with what he has - good or bad, so same thing - cant see any other reason why 21,27 would comments as he did as we could easily apply the same thing to his loving stoner. pedrosa kicked his *** with an inferior bike and tyres

I'd like to know where everyone gets the idea that all the Michelin tires are the same.. Bridgestone, for example, makes different tires for each manufacturer, to suit them to the bike. Before this season began, Michelin was saying how it was going to customize tires based on each rider.

So what if Dani does well? Just look at the overall results. Usually only 1 Michelin up at the top, surrounded by Bridgestones. And don't even tell me the next Michelin finishers aren't good riders. Michelin need to be able to make tires for all of their riders as good as they can for Dani

"Oh and just one more question for you nicky, why do you think little Dani won in valencia on the same bike and tyres that you and Pete Benson gave out about on friday practice and saturday qualifying?"
If only it were that simple!

I like Nicky's determination ( I like Max too but what a contrast with their attitudes towards an uncompetitive factory Honda ride!) and its been a bit depressing watching him going nowhere for most of the season. I hope to see him running top 5 regularly.

The whole Michelin thing often gets me wondering how much of a scapegoat they are. I mean their history with Motogp is well known. Did the move from 2-strokes to 4-strokes leave them with no advantage??

If flukey is the hardest rider in the paddock, why can't he turn that in to results, or is that just total tosh just like his results to date, his rubbish send him packing ;)

Aegis, that's an ignorant comment!

You're uninformed, try following the sport before you post manure!

Chris I have been following the sport for over 30 years and seen a lot of good riders, Flukey is not one of them. We want entertainment not an embarrassment

Michelin had some of the most experienced guys in the field riding for them. They totaled 13 world championships between them!!! Bridgestone had nowhere near that depth.
I wonder how the Michelin's/honda's/yamaha's' would have faired with lesser riders......?? :?

Aegis, you make another stupid comment!

Apparently you base your lack of knowledge only on what you see. If you include reading along with your TV viewing, I promise you will be able to make an intelligent comment one that will be based more on fact and not emotion.
