Its gotta be frustrating when you're the best/most talented rider on the circuit and essentially relegated to spectator as a result of your sub par bike/tire package. It's true the Yahama has never been the fastest, but it's also true that it's progressively getting worse. The best rider should at least be on competitive equipment....clearly he is not. I hope that Rossi gets his opportunity to put the smack down once again and reclaim what is rightfully his. Yamaha rested on its laurels and the competition blew by em. He's got every right to call em out on it and light a fire under their *****.

This is the same interview that was reported last week, Crash has just put a different spin on it and re-posted it to fill some space!!!

Crash is a great web site, but it is still part of the media and not exempt from putting there own spin on a story. Come on you guys, dont get sucked in that easy.

I agree with a lot of the posts and this does make Rossi sound very arrogent but ive read this report before elsewhere and all the ducati references were put to Rossi by the interviewer and it reads totally different.

Please dont turn your reporting into red top tabloid levels please crash, as it seems MCN is more and more these days! :?

Very good Morphine.
The same article was on Eurosport site last week with a big headline, Rossi is always quite open in interviews and
they go and use it against him immediately.
There is a contingent that desperately wants him out and journalists are keep to tap in on this emotion.
I hope he can just stay clear of all the rubbish and steer his own way, he's experienced enough. :)

I'am not a fan of Rossi but cant deny he is the best rider ever. I have seen it with my own eyes. Who else but Rossi could have got that bike into 3rd position, after this season ie broken bones and broken machinery, (well done Rossi) that bike riden by former world champ Nicky would have been lucky to be placed 15 never mind 3. However, I have no sympathy for Rossi and his moaning about Yamaha, after all hes at Yamaha to prove its all about Rossi and not the bike. So go on then Princess Valentine prove it. Unfortunatly for Princess Valentine time has run out, he is too old, no matter how good he once was, I dont think Ducati will be queuing up for him cos its all about the youngsters

Totally agree with Morphine and Morgue, besides when has Vale ever done anything that we expected him to do. If Yamaha do not buck their ideas up this year, he will be at Suzuki next year - remember Capirossi only has a years contract...

Would love to see him as team mates with Casey and/or Marco. I think it would silence a few people... ;)

This is re-hashed old out of context news, he basically said, Yamaha is his home and he loves the company BUT if the bike didn't improve he'd have to look elsewhere.

You all seem to be forgetting Marco Melandri slagging off Honda ALL YEAR then jumping to Ducati, also Dani Pedrosa holding out on a contract with Repsol Honda to try force them to change tyres, riders are always going to want the best they can have, loyalty isn't going to figure that highly in a decision.

Phew, it's not gonna happen I think Djh but it would be a dream team...
Would be a bit like 1998 when you had Harada, Capirossi and Rossi in 250cc riding for Aprilia,
a lot of tension inside the team...
But really, I don't see Ducai running three bikes nor dropping Melandri or Stoner or Rossi.

Ask yourselves this - If you worked for a company that was holding back your career and another company was offering a better opportunity to get on, then what would you do? I can't blame the man for wanting what's best for him - after all, a racing career has a limited timespan and you only get one shot at it. Though it doesn't give him the god given right to use his influence and demand a job at Ducati - he needs to earn that by putting in a stella performance next season and proving he deserves the ride, that is assuming Ducati is still the dominant bike.

As usual reporters will put a "spin" on any story to suit what they want to hear and Rossi is certainly someone to run a story on.
It wouldn't surprise me if Rossi at some point mentioned Ducati as a "Possible" destination at some point when asked if he saw a future after Yamaha.

Ducati would LOVE to have Rossi on their bikes! An Italian Hero on an Italian bike in MotoGP? I'd imagine the sales would rocket through the roof if he were to sign!

Of course, they'd need to ditch the Marlboro link though, which would be perfect for a one man "Satellite" (yeah RIGHT!) ;)team...Nastro Azzuro Ducati anyone?
