Its gotta be frustrating when you're the best/most talented rider on the circuit and essentially relegated to spectator as a result of your sub par bike/tire package. It's true the Yahama has never been the fastest, but it's also true that it's progressively getting worse. The best rider should at least be on competitive equipment....clearly he is not. I hope that Rossi gets his opportunity to put the smack down once again and reclaim what is rightfully his. Yamaha rested on its laurels and the competition blew by em. He's got every right to call em out on it and light a fire under their *****.

Everybody knows that by the time Rossi's contract ends all manufacturers will have made many changes to their equipment. I believe that we will make significant improvements to our bike over the course of 2008 to the point that I will be able to offer Vale a ride on my team. Vale of course will be our #2 rider behind me. Yes I will be making a comeback because the 2009 machine will be so easy to ride that I will comfortably take the World Championship once again, proving once and for all that I, King Kenny Roberts Sr is the greatest motorcycle racer the world has ever seen. Kenny Jr will be making the coffee while Kurtis (bless his heart) will be sweeping out the pit box.

Jacko, "I shudder to think how history will treat Rossi." He will be recognized for what he is - totally selfish, not a team player, happy and magnanimous when he has everything his way is obviously the center of attention, then arrogant spiteful and whiny when he is no longer on everyone's pedestal. He left Honda because he could not have his way. He left Michelin because he could not have his way. He will leave Yamaha because he cannot have his way. History will simply tell the truth without the yellow blinders. The truth about him will come out as others retire from the sport and feel comfortable speaking freely. If that makes Rossi a jerk, he has only himself to blame.

this year he was saying ( also Ph. island ): even a broken clock shows the right time once ( suggesting stoner ) and the aussies were still cracking up laughing. so its in human nature to avoid conflict and aussies are pretty good at that..therefore, this is a good way to compensate for what one may truly wish to say :p

As others have mentioned, it is interesting that Burgess has consistently disagreed with Rossi's assessment of Rossi's situation. Burgess is the other half of that duo, and the man has proven time and time again that he knows what he is talking about. Burgess disagreed with Rossi about the bike, disagreed with Rossi about Michelin, disagreed with Rossi on Stoner as a teammate, disagreed with Rossi on the switch to Bridgestones, and the list goes on and on. Maybe Rossi needs to learn to shut his mouth and open his ears. What's really interesting is that Rossi paid out of his own pocket to have Burgess leave Honda and come to Yamaha, yet Rossi quite obviously does not listen to Burgess.

So what? Every racer looks for the best available equipment. And sometimes you need to apply some pressure.

And... Hopkins Fan: John said once he will always stay at Suzuki ;-)

Dear Kenny, King Carl here. As you well know you are not fit to lick the sweat from my jatz crackers. Bad news for you is that I have already signed Vale for 2009 to ride my new "Foggycycle". Since leaving WSBK I've been working with Dorna on my latest creation. We are modifying our WSBK machines with which I will return to racing on and will once and for all prove that I am the greatest motorcycle racer never to have been given the opportunity that I fully deserved. Soon I will be launching a cake drive and all money raised will go towards funding this momentous effort. Kumho have signed on to provide tyres. Yours Truly, King Carl.

"Every racer looks for the best available equipment."

Which is why Rossi left Honda and went to Yamaha, right? ;)

"John said once he will always stay at Suzuki"

That was before he dumped the rodeo babe and woke up. :)

Dear Kings, I am also looking for a start within MotoGp and would be honoured to be considered for any role within your organisations. I notice that Vale has created a position at his teams for someone to pack his mouthguard and ear plugs. I believe that I have the skills to perform these duties for either of you. I have also been practicing cleaning these items so that they can be reused over and over (one less cake that you will need to sell King Carl). Please consider, your obedient servant, Hodgo.
