If it suggests anything then that Suzuki has a fast bike for 2008
and Loris found the way to spur it on. Good on him! ;)
Just like Hopkins he needed the new challenge!

MOTOGP » Capirossi quicker on a Suzuki

Loris Capirossi finished his second test for Rizla Suzuki a fraction behind team-mate Chris Vermeulen and comfortably inside his best race lap as a Ducati rider in last month's Malaysian Grand Prix.

No actually your either a Rossi groupie or a non groupie infact....
I dont recall ever seeing anyone other than the clown groupies whinge about Stoner to such an extent.
Its not only the Stoner supporters who have had enough of Rossi's complaining either by the way... ;)

I feel sorry for the people that like to call Rossi names and deny the fact that he is still immensely popular
because it means they didn't have a lot of fun watching MotoGP when he won his titles.
I hope he stays and get's a fair chance at showing his ability again, it will only make the racing less boring. ;)

From two weeks ago (ref. Elias) "Although the Spaniard was 1.2secs behind factory Ducati rider and world champion Casey Stoner, he set a best time 0.517secs quicker on the Desmosedici than he'd been on the Honda Gresini RC212V during Sunday's season-ending race"

What it shows is that Loris feels better on the Suzuki..., not that Casey is a superstar riding a dog of a bike (look to Rossi's first season with Yamaha to see what that looks like). No, I'm not bashing Casey, I'm not deifying Rossi. The Ducati is clearly a great bike, and it suits Casey and his style. Glad that Loris has found his place...

and having just followed the link posted by Morgue, what more can I add. Great link (and great postings).

Marty, why are you so anti-Rossi? He's clearly a brilliant racer, and if you put away your prejudices and listen to what he says, he invariably tells it the way it is - where you read everything as a whinge. Yes, of course he complains at times, but every consider that perhaps he has grounds to do so on occasion?!

Yes, I'm a fan of Rossi, but that doesn't blind me to the greater realities, and doesn't make me hate Casey or Ducati (I have one, after all) - they have riden and performed brilliantly.

It was great to see kevin Shwantz riding with Ben Spies. Heard Shwantz was thinking of managing a MGP team. Denning is good but imagine Shwantz back on the podium even as team manager. Good forsight from Suzuki to look to the future. Come on next year. :D

Oww yes, but they'd better not drop Denning, he's been a blessing to Suzuki.
Not to slam Hopper but his moving away from Suzuki also gives room for new views
and may help development, as well as Loris having a good effect on Chris Vermeulen.

Capirossi on a Suzuki GSV-R give me a funny feeling. It's like seeing a dream come true if Bayliss getting a Suzuki MotoGP seat after having a good race on a Suzuki 250cc GP at Philips Island in 1996.

May be 2008 will give Capirossi back the position he used to at top 5 group during the race. Jerez, Mugello, Assen, Catalunya, Donington, Brno and Valencia may be interesting race for him next season and to see how he make use his Suzuki higher corner speed which is I think he used to feel with his Aprilia 250cc.
