Sorry but that's nonsense MigsAngel,
How can you expect someone to race a bike that he hasn't properly tested?
You can also argue that Pedrosa is unwise to skip valuable laps on a bike he wants to become World Champion with next season.
But lucky for him Hayden does the dirty work again...

MOTOGP » Why Dani wasn't testing...

A noticeable absentee from the Sepang test was 2007 MotoGP World Championship runner-up Dani Pedrosa, with only team-mate Nicky Hayden representing Repsol Honda during the three-day outing.

maybe nicky went to sepang cos dani kicked his *** in 07, harsh as it may sound. truth is by the end of this season, nicky was using the stuff dani had been developing. seems it s dani who does the useful developing, even if nicky does 10x more laps.

Slow joe - does Nicky ener complain about testing... He's just likes it and has fun out there. If he can improve his knowledge of the bike, his abilities why not ride the wheels of it!

It make no difference since HRC will move heaven and earth to ensure Dani can win the title in 2008...
Hayden has 1 year left with Repsol, so he better all he can to get offered a good ride for 2009...as a satelite honda or ducati rider, second rider on the kawasaki, or the top team roberts rider ;)

This, in my opinion, is why Pedrosa won't win a championship. His attitude needs work

Seems like American riders are in the championship to develop bikes for Italians and Spaniards!

MIGSANGEL---U said that tests are for new riders, and riders who had a bad year....In my opinion that would be EVERYONE on the grid except for Stoner...That's a ridiculous comment.

WayneUSA, you are entitled to your opinion, as am I.

I said very early winter testing is not needed by everyone. Dani and Casey need time to relax and reflect on their year. Rossi needs time to recover and heal. The rest of the field got new jobs/teams, new bikes, or had ***** seasons and so wanted more practice to show the bosses (HRC) they deserve their job in 2009.
CV is the one exeption, since he had a good season, and is working early to get the best bike to win the title.

American riders don't develop bikes for Italians and Spaniards, see Edwards for example.
