Good decision, at least he gets to race!
playing third violin to Ducati and hoping and praying fre the odd wildcard appearance is nothing for a young bloke.

Good luck Chaz, kick them Yanks! ;)

It's o.k. jh. Thanks for taking the time to put that there. Like I said before, I'm not a Mladin fan at all but, I think the guy can ride. Some people say the competition is not very high here in America but, I believe Mladin would have been a decent MotoGP rider some years back although, he did try it in the early 90's and had a very disappointing year. I think he would have been able to do well after AMA due to the increased confidence that he picked up from competing here. Oooh well, his time has passed for MotoGP and it looks like his time has passed in AMA. If he doesn't retire soon, I think he'll start placing lower and lower in points. I hope Jamie Hacking is the next guy to top him!

which would you rather be doing in March, running around Mallory/Cadwell/ Snetterton on a freezing practice day for BSB or in the Florida sunshine racing in the Daytona 200 AND getting paid more to race in the US than the UK.

ezlivin, I may have been wrong about Haydens ride however not wrong about Attack being factory supported.
I suggest you read a little more
My imformation is that Monster energy drink will expand its sponsorship in 2008 to cover all kawasakis racing operations, so there will be a sponsorship connection between teams.

Take the blinders off guys and see the world there's a lot out there your missing out on!!!

The Euros VS. US attitude is weak, boring, and childish. Futhuremore, the statements made by some of you are simply outrageous made up bull**** How do you know what you speak of... do you fly over on race weakends and observe, or is it your insecurity that drives this emotion?

To further my point, on any given thread Hodgson, Ellison, Davies etc. will be spoke of on a higher esteem, but put in the context of the AMA and now they become idiots, has beens, and he was never really that good anyway.

Try being positive for a change and stop hating what you don't have a clue about.

from what i've seen of AMA it's a very boring series, with only the top three or four riders at most being able to challenge. it would help if the tracks weren't as boring too, i'd much rather watch the circuits on the BSB or WSBK schedule any day of the week.

as for mladin and spies, well, they're the only two riders i can see in the next few years doing anything of note on a world level and it's more than likely not going to be MotoGP.

The AMA Supersports class is more competitive than BSB - One cant compare FX as this class doesnt not exist in the UK.
I would say Superbike class is a little behind the UK, in terms of factory support, however this is market driven as the support goes into the Supersport and FX which use 600cc machines, that capacity of bike is a huge market in the USA.

Be more specific about what you've seen!

I as well can say BSB is boring from what I've seen, and the riders from what I've seen, only a few look to be reasonably competitive, and the tracks... well form what I've HEARD they are very dangerous too. Perhaps we're talking about 2 different BSB series.

My earlier post on page two truly showed that many on this forum don't,haven't or never will ride competitively or enjoy track days seriously enough to understand this sport at all. It is a shame that many make comments and observations without really experiencing
the thrill of controlled speed and it's given limitations. Here goes two part comments and statement. One I happen to know Chaz Davies suspension guy and aside from being a total gentleman the man knows his *****. The Celtic team for me did an excellent job this year against the big boyz who had much larger budget's than the smaller teams, in which Chaz Davies debued on and placed respectfully, Mind you this was his first

On totally new tracks etc... To do what he did in a short time will surely open doors for him in the future. Factory support teams are just that they have the money and expertise to throw money at an idea and develop it at any cost sometimes. Smaller teams have to effectively manage their finances to carry them through the season and maintain the basic components to keep the bike running let alone RD. So try and understand the roles of some of these smaller teams and their roles in this sport. They may be the platform for just such moves to other teams with more money etc...to further develop the next blend of riders. IF we didn't have these teams at this level we would not have many racers>

Some people who post on here couldn't find their **** with both hands, so riding a bike is way beyond them. :p
