MOTOGP » West: It's been a crazy year!

Westy did look uncomfortable on the bike somewhat like Hayden on the Honda designed Pedrosa bike, West has natual balance this was never shown during 2007 but then he would have ridden a camel to get into MotoGp, he knows to stay in MotoGp he has to get as one with the bike to get results for 2008, the only way this will be sorted is by trial and error, if he gets it all to-gether just watching him will be exciting enough,if he doesn't there is always back to dirt tracking in Australia for 2009, so I guess he will work his butt off during the off season to stay in MotoGp???

I'm unsure of westy,i just don't think he has the total package, he's too hit and miss, sure he rides hard especially in the wet but he's one of those riders which everyone gets excited about when he is out in front but you cringe coz it's only a matter of time b4 he drops it....

Yes woody. He was incredible on the yamaha supersport bike this year but I think he has not quite lived up to his promise this year. Most people asumed he was going to eclipse De Puniet but he just didn't. Maybe he needs more time as Saltbrush says but already, Hopkins is way faster. Next year, we will know.

West would have been a thousand times more impressive had he not dropped it at Donnington and not had those stupid false/wrong starts. Painful to watch!

As for Hopkins, he's had 5 years already. Show some results next year or be off.

Ah Hopkins! i like john but i agree his results so far are not what i would expect, vermulen catching him fast with less time on bike, interesting to see what cappo does on the zuke, but if hopper outperforms westy which i think he will then i think it may be back to wss for west (which he was quite impressive at)next year,rather him than me coz wss is fkin crazy ****..looking forward to 2nd season of 800's though now that teams have more data and direction.....

if westy is out then roger-lee is in. cant wait for that.

don't know alot about roger lee, is he the one who had a bit of a run in with chaz in the ama?
