Interesting. He is fit enough to compete in a WRC car, but not fit enough to be spending his time testing and trying improve the Yamaha that he has whinged about all season???
Priorities seem all wrong here. Glad I'm not paying his salary.

Dr Pete...have you heard that rossi's palmar radiocarpal and palmar ulnocarpal ligaments were partially torn as well and that the short ulnar collateral ligament extending from the critical styloid process fractured in this incident, had been torn right at the attachment to the ulnar carpal bone.
they had used the Mason metasplint initially ...how do you feel about this method of immobilization of the carpal joint in these particular ligamnet lesions ?

Harry - I think you will find that Rossi has a contract with Yamaha - not that Rossi is an employee of Yamaha - there is a big difference. Rossi has been rallying outside of the Motogp season before. As to what Rossi can and cannot do from a contractual point of view - it will be in the wording. I am sure Yamaha are comfortable for him to do this if it means he comes back motivated - Rossi's self-confidence must have taken a huge battering.

The reason he hasn't tested thus far is because he is held to a Michelin contract, he can only begin to use the Bridgestones at the upcoming Jerez test, which he is doing. He'd of most likely rode in Sepang had he been able to use Bridgestones.

Tom was right, rossi was stopped by Michelin from testing at Sepang.

As for all the rest of the comments concerning rossi rallying then, just as someone mentioned above he has been doing it a fair while now & I'm sure if he thought he was going to damage it more then there would be no way he would have raced.

Getting back to Motogp & this test I beleive Rossi will do the talking on the track, for all of those who are believing he is finished then keep on dreaming & praying cus it simply wont happen, he'll be back to his best & I'm sure the hunger to win is just as strong now than ever before.

I think there is gonna be alot of silent people on here soon who have been quick Cont...

He's not allowed to test until Jerez and perhaps he has done everything that he can possibly do behind the scenes. So I don't blame him for doing the rally - you only get one life so make the most of it and if he enjoys doing them, then I say good luck to him. Whats the point of having all that money if you can't enjoy it. He's not naive and he knows that if he got himself injured or doesn't win next year then he will only have himself to blame when the media slaugher him.

to put the boot into him, I will guarantee that a certain team will be watching him like an hawk at this test just hoping & praying that those tyre's dont work for him like they do on their bike.

I'm sure there will be no massive leap forwards from Yamaha so providing the extra grip is there from the tyres then expect a big improvement within the next 2 test's from Rossi.
