MOTOGP » Rossi: This is what I've been waiting for

Valentino Rossi admits the switch to Bridgestone tyres has brought no miracle transformation in performance, but he has gained much more consistency - and says the change was just what he'd been waiting for.

Well, I am really happy for Rossi, because its true sometimes we need something NEW, to keep us motivated, his bridgestone really makes him happy. BUT... if his bike is still under power compared to HRC and Ducati, what is he going to do? I see that Yamaha is so slow in developing its bike. HRC has improved alot, Suzuki is doing a really great effort, Kawasaki too with Hopkins is really making progress. Yamaha????

Very good,
if he can already make front row on the 2007 bike with a healing hand an 2007 tyres then be prepared!
A strong point of the Bridgestones is their durability, it pays off in the last third or quarter of the race
Fantastic shot of Rossi and JT together, study in style ;-)

Yamaha are going to strap two machine guns to the front of the Yam, and when the big red devil goes past rossi will give it both barrels. On a lighter note Yamaha need to find alot of horse power? They have worked to long on setup I.E corner speed, which is great until you get on a straight. Then everything you just past going in the corner goes back passed you? Think Yamaha have missed the boat, They need a big fat V4 and an extra machine gun for next year.

If Yamaha can get the horsepower they need, then the others should be very afraid. Lets not forget, Bridgestone qualies are historically not as good as the Michelins and Rossi is only a gnats off the pace. On regular, off the shelf tyres he was a gnats off the pace also. All this only two days in.

Rossi fastest today anyone?

I agree Morgue, it is a good photo. Pity we can't get a higher res version...
JT really needs to get a decent helmet design! God, that one's terrible!

When I first saw the header for this story I thought he (Rossi) was referring to Stoner getting injured! LoL (not that he would say that of course) :p

Get well soon Casey!

That's a bit subjective Bueliful - while I would the first to concede that JT's may not be the most attractive on the grid, Rossi's just looks like a stag party have been sick all over it. Good news that the Bridgestones are working out for him - though I do hope that Michelin catch up for JT's sake.

rossi and toseland...to me the first thought that came to my mind from looking at the photo was that it is good for toseland to learn the lines and pick up on the moves from rossi..

funny how we all see different things; like buelliful sees something ( "I thought rossi was referring to stoner getting injured " )- that only he can see.
no bad thoughts or intentions but its really amazing how the human brain works...
