Simple answer! If you don't care don't read it! No one forced you to open it.....
I don't mind reading things like this as it shows the real talent some of these guys have. I was smart enough to tell you are a pom. Enough said.....

The H-pattern is less precise, the disatvantadge of the sequential system is with downshifting you can't take a 'shortcut'
so that might take some getting used to. A lot of it is preference too, traditionalists wiil probably stick to the H...

I think 'shortcut' bit is an issue, I wonder if there will be any reliability issues with the sequential box? There has only been a few failures of the old box in ten years. They upshift flat no clutch, Some downshift with no clutch in the sprint races. Strong as. I like the idea of advancing the car a bit, as long as its done correct. This year they started using control brakes to control costs a bit. But this failed as the control brake couldn't last as long. On team said by the 2nd last round they spent more on the control brakes than the previous year. Also teams were having brake probs all year.

Sweeeet....I bet he thinks his ute and 911 turbo are'nt as fast as he first thought.
I wish my SS Commodore put out that kind of Hp.

The average euro has no idea how good the average Australian family sedan is, all they know is tiny city 4 cylinder cars they call touring cars and thats soooo funny.

Well... a V8 with pushrods isn't exactly mindblowing new technology :p
nowadays you can peel 220 Hp out of a 800cc fourcylinder, maybe the ship with engine parts hasn't reached your shores yet.

'Ere, I know this is completely off topic... but do any of you guys know if any MotoGP riders actually ride bikes on the road (Motocross and Supermoto not included). I mean actually RIDE bikes on the road for pleasure? I know James Ellison used to as there was an article in a bike mag once where he rode 600 miles on a Yamaha R1 between 2 European dates with a journalist (apparently he was a complete nutter on the road!)... just interested... I know Hopper doesn't as he says he has a problem with authority...

Oh I think most of them do,
Rossi has a garage full of bikes and scooters and also appeared in Londen before the Donington race in a public 'rideout'
on quite a big boring touringbike (was it a Goldwing?).
Abe lost his life on a scooter in a road crash
It must be a very eerie feeling to be riding a bike in traffic when you are used to riding them on the limit on a track
with lots of safety features built in the infrastructure...
