2007 was a snorefest, I don't care if you cut and paste all the 'action' together into a compact television programme,
it still doesn't make it exciting. It was hours of hanging about and nosepicking and seeing a sport go to the dogs.
If you get off on consistency that's your right, I want to see racing. We are being led to believe that watching midgets on
electronically controlled downsized racers is the same as watching battles of heroes of a bygone era, like Schwantz and Rainey.

Can i just clear a couple of things up before this topic degrades into yet another slagging match!
I was at day of champions at donnington.Casey got boo'd(not by me i might add)because he was down right rude. We paid a hell of a lot of money for paddock passes and he wouldn't even acknoledge we were there and just walked past and ignored all of us waiting to see our hero's. He wasnt the only one, Pedrosa did exactly the same!!
Hopkins,Vermulen,Randy DP and Edwards However were absolute legends and spent ages chatting and signing autographs. Rossi didnt do any signings but at least he waved and acknolegded us, considering his hastle with the media at the time was more than anyone expected!

Also, it is a common misconception that all because we are british we hate stoner because he is Australian and love Rossi because he is european. If anything it is the opposite is true.
We regularly support rider who have raced in britain as our own(lets face it we havnt many of our own rider support lately!) Bayliss, Vermulen, AND STONER all started there road careers in the UK. So the brits have probably seen more of these riders racing up close than the most Australians! So lets not turn this into a racist thing IT ISNT!!!
I respect Stoner riding he looked awsome this year, but i agree with Morgue it was boring!! It wasnt caseys fault, it was the rest of the field not fast enough!

I knew my post would stir something up, sorry if I stepped on some sensitive toes,
it is just my opinion and I feel free to vent it.

Saltbush I fully agree with you (imagine that ;)), there is something wrong with the tv registration and would you believe Dorna even promised to give the rest of the field more coverage (for sponsoring purposes mainly...) in a meeting with the teams
but I think the majority of the people still won't get completely wild about overtaking for 5th or 6th position.

It is about what happens at the front and how the Championship pans out.

I immensely enjoyed the 2006 season, Rossi didn't win the title
but it had heaps of drama and edge of the seat action.

If you can only be a blind follower of your countrymen then you're pretty narrow minded,
it means you don't love the sport but your country.

On the whole perhaps not the most exciting season in terms of the tension of riders battling out on the last lap fighting for the win, but certainly some eventful racing. If you want to see a real snorefest try watching DVDs of the 2002 season - and before I get slaughtered it wasn't Rossis' fault just like it wasn't Stoners fault last season. In 2002 we only saw quality racing when Barros was given an RCV for the last 4 races and proceeded to win 2 of them - makes you wonder what would have been if he got one from race 1. Only other guy to make a show of it, Ukawa, was supposedly told by HRC not to beat his team-mate again - but that's only a rumour!
