2007 was a snorefest, I don't care if you cut and paste all the 'action' together into a compact television programme,
it still doesn't make it exciting. It was hours of hanging about and nosepicking and seeing a sport go to the dogs.
If you get off on consistency that's your right, I want to see racing. We are being led to believe that watching midgets on
electronically controlled downsized racers is the same as watching battles of heroes of a bygone era, like Schwantz and Rainey.

Same thing they told Barros after he beat Stoner at Mugello this year...

The 2002 season is indeed an interesting comparison Waltzin,
also a year when everything was stirred up by Dorna because they changed the formula and one factory came out on top
because they got the design right at the first attempt.
Also a silly year where 500 twostrokes and 990 fourstrokes failed to mingle -some were faster in the corners, the others on the straight- and a mediocre rider like Ukawa was suddenly able to come forward...
a season to forget really - even though Rossi won the title

Your both right, waltzin and morgue. I was at Jerez in 2002 and after superb 125 and 250 races, the motogp was just dull. Rossi walked it and won by a mile. I'm a Rossi fan (though not a "groupie") but I left early. The race was dull and if you have ever tried to get out of Jerez after a meeting, you will know why I didn't hang around for the end of race antics.

Just shows what can happen when they change the bike specs - one team planning for it and putting the work in, the rest still on vacation! Was very disappointed in Ducati after reading the Barros interview, very, very unsporting of them, we don't want or need F1 politics in motogp. Underneath the Ducati PR machine of racing passion/friendly team image, they are quite cynical and will do anything to win. Still this has already been seen in the way they run WSBK, sorry I mean't the Flamini brothers.

Yeah, there are a lot of strange things going on behind the scenes that we don't know of.
Honda yelling 'there are no team orders' almost untill the last race of '06 while Vale was munching away at Haydens lead...
sounds almost like McLaren ;)
But F1 is probably an even bigger snakepit, at least we don't have spy scandals (yet).

but I think the majority of the people still won't get completely wild about overtaking for 5th or 6th position.

It is about what happens at the front and how the Championship pans out.

And the above statement makes EVERYTHING that you post a total pile of *****. You claim to respect the riders and all you are is an elitist crack pipe smoker. Don't reply to this as I couldn't give a Funk what you think.

Frankly, I hope for another really boring season in 2008.
By that I mean Casey and Danni duking it out like they did in 250's, with Rossi somewhere well behind.
Then after the inevitable gripes about Yamaha, Bridgestone etc, hopefully Rossi will disappear into the distance (or WRC) for 2009, his yellow-clad followers can go with him, and race fans can reclaim MotoGP from the circus event it has become in recent years.

Not sure during 2007 how many combined minutes the TvCamera was focused on Stoner Rossi or Pedrosa bottoms I am sure this camera angle may mean something to some not this little grey duck and then theres the classic images of the right hand on the brakelever using middle finger which proves there is other uses for the middle finger than using it for salutes who can forget the front image of the riders helmet bobbing around of course you can't see his expression as the visor is shaded hi tec yes boring yes I would rather see the camera follow Nicky trying to work out why is going so bad, of course there were plenty of exciting mid pack riders thatI would rather watch than a hi tec camera work

Gina,

I have to love your sheep comments. I am sure you have taken this from comments people have made about you, very original moron.

People it is pretty easy, if you dont like what is going on and you constantly whinge about it, why are you here posting and still following the sport. I am not a fan of Stoner, but I can admire what he has done. Just like I can admire the efforts of Rossi, Roberts Jnr, Hayden, and those other who have won a world championship prior.

I have to wonder what the like of Gina, and the other groupies felt when Rossi walked away with his past championship. It would have been "Bravo" to the best rider and everyone else was not in the same class.
