2007 was a snorefest, I don't care if you cut and paste all the 'action' together into a compact television programme,
it still doesn't make it exciting. It was hours of hanging about and nosepicking and seeing a sport go to the dogs.
If you get off on consistency that's your right, I want to see racing. We are being led to believe that watching midgets on
electronically controlled downsized racers is the same as watching battles of heroes of a bygone era, like Schwantz and Rainey.

absolutely right! from my ex husband and then some complicated family past from his side as well. apparently quite rare too...but who cares? ;)
rossi ( surname ) - red ... cant help it but imagine him on a ducati - the thing is rossi wouldn't like it easy though.
I think he not only likes battles but creats them..lets people at front on purpose.
he would have total fun on a ducati like that - for sure :)

Yes I read that thanks Zack,
it was forwarded here a couple of months ago when the spec tyre thing was a hot issue,
I'm not saying that is rubbish but I don't believe in the extend of it, not everything is steered by viewer numbers or there would be no racing to speak of anymore.
I do agree the influence of Dorna, the main sponsors and the factories, especially Honda, is enormous.
Ofcourse Rossi is a huge publicity factor but that everything is catered to him is nonsense, he has to work for it just like the others. You think millions of viewers are turning away from the sport now he has had two seasons of not winning the championship?

Trigg- you obviously work in marketing.... The most factual comment I think I have yet read on these forums, very well stated!
Marketing is what drives the Moto GP and F1 wheels and putting Euro riders/drivers in euro sponsered machines is more obvious than the nose on your face to anyone with a clue about marketing! Good marketing equals brain washing literally.... case in point the classic rossi groupie blinded by clown antics and fluff ;)

I will always support the underdog simply because I like to see the $ greedy manipulative marketing ***** at DORNA fall on their swords

FACT;of course MotoGp needs Rossi not only for his riding ability also his acting ability, and his magic trick trying to make Stoner&Hayden disappear as they are not part of the Dorna script. Then the Spaniards whos Daddy owns the Tv rights not to mention French riders one hell bent on a career change to the Follies,a Brit whos Tv ratings will be monitored to see if he remains in MotoGp in 09 and a Japanese rider after all they make most of the bikes so a must have,Italians from most provinces to make sure all Italy watch,Holland what bloody Hollander, population too small,Yanks big market there must have riders one who gets his lines wrong give him crap a bike,Aussies no ability field fillers
