Stoner with the #1 plate is questionable. Yes he deserves it for the truly incredible season that he had and should use it for the testing sessions, but having it for the 2008 season will make him look foolish as he will NOT win the championship, just ask Hayden.

Yeah but Morgue you just inadvertantly pointed out another problem with the whole current sponsor thing. If you assume that Kurtis is not rider enough to compete with all else equal, then Roberts needs a rider. If he cannot get any sponsorship money to run the team, how is he going to attract a world-class rider? It's a vicious circle, and the sport as a whole is beginning to suffer as a result. It is time to demand that the media cover the ENTIRE sport, not just the one or two up front and the show-boaters.

I think Jr was the first to realise the engine was slow, tire rule (or company) was a problem and with the electronics the rider has no way to really make any difference. Since he left, the have been complaints from all riders about all of those things. What is going to be more exciting next year, MotoGP with more refined electronics, or F1 with no traction control?

I would love to see some in-depth coverage of a mid-pack team, for example. I do not care who - just pick one or two and do it! It's too easy to just point the camera at a cloud of tire smoke with a curly furball sticking out the top and call it journalism. But to plan and execute an in-depth interview with the Tech 3 team, for example? Where's the REAL journalism that will keep the sport alive?

Hopkins fan is right. What is the value in sponsoring a team that is not on TV? Last year this was half the field at least.

stoner No.1 - thought that was a brave move and someone out there from wolfcreek city mentioned something about the Ego, so thought it was related....
was also wondering about dovisiozo, is he going to use No 34? as i think out of respect for schwantz - i think something similar was decided that 34 is not used again? ..
and hello Morgue - glad you're back since you were missing for a cpl days :-o

Hi Gina, yeah I broke free from the undergrowth again,
my my, there were a lot of possums and other small creatures hiding there ;)

All I have to do now is get rid of some other animals that seem to be eager to hop alongside me
in the same sequence... they don't seem to be nocturnal though :p

Let's see if Mr Stoner remembers to turn the traction control on next time he rides.
Might avoid another little accident and give him a chance to break the #1 plate curse. Even if that does only seem to relate to American riders since Rainey. I predict he won't!

It will be a sad day if Team Roberts is finished, King Kenny run that team for love he didn't need the money although with what he has invested of late he may need money now, the Roberts name has long been associated with MotoGp the grid will not seem the same without a Roberts name there, as far as Kurtis having ability who would know, the bloody bike he rode tank slapped riding through pit lane. I did write a thread about mid field coverage that most "Forum" writers disagreed with, now we are seeing the end result of bad camera director's, I for one was always interested in watching Kurtis fight the heap of crap he had straddled, VERY SAD
