Stoner with the #1 plate is questionable. Yes he deserves it for the truly incredible season that he had and should use it for the testing sessions, but having it for the 2008 season will make him look foolish as he will NOT win the championship, just ask Hayden.

I don't understand why we don't have a split screen some of the time during the coverage - show who is leading or about to overtake and use the split screen to show some interesting mid-field or other action. As well as increasing coverage it should stop the Director missing the action - it frustrates me when you can see the passes coming up, but the Director cuts away at the wrong moment - normally to a mechanic grinning in the pits.

They should forbid the mechanics to grin, then there's nothing to film

Not sure what Saltbush is talking about. That bike might have been the best on the grid if the tires and engine were good. No reason why on control it would not have been better then the 06 bike. The problem with the TV is purely the director. Put the old Sky guys that did WSBK in the Foggy days and MotoGP would be better, although the traction control is still ruining the sport.

the '06 bike was a failure too, until Honda helped them out with geometry data so they could buid a new chassis,
then all of a sudden Kenny Jr. went flying with it, even to a podium at Estoril, a race won by a satellite Honda (Elias).
After that Honda was not laughing anymore...
So I think they just quit helping them in '07, handed them an engine and a handfull of oilfilters (for good money)
and bye bye...
Same thing will happen if they run Ducatis' no way the factory will allow them to top the other duc guys (d'Antin included)
Politics, boys...

MORGUE, it will be a sadder day if only the factory bikes are allowed to win as there will be only 10 bikes on the grid in end, the viewers will leave in their droves, I have always had a soft spot for the under dog if there is no under dog I will be one of the drove, I do find it hard to believe that you could say to the "REAL RACER" don't beat the factory bikes.

I was hopeing Casey would run the 27 but maybe the number 1 plate will motorvate him to a new level (if he needs it).
The number 1 plate was probably always on as Ducati are new to this era so they would have a strong desire to see it in print and TV as any company should expect.
I know peaple like to draw comfort from farmboys good luck bad luck show, but Casey is in a different league, man is a born champion. Still the thought of the Rossi Rogers tagging Casey with farmboys situation is just like them to not be able to think outside the only box they know

I agree with you Saltbush but it happens, it happened to Barros too last season. I'm not saying I don't like Roberts, just assessing the situation they're in. Roberts built a factory in England, they're good engineers. goes to show what they're up against. Mechanically, moneywise, riderwise maybe (though Kenny is a former WC) and if you will politicswise they draw the short straw...

Born Champion?? I completely forgot he was 125 and 250 World Champion. Must've won every other championship he raced in too i guess? Fact is he will be a 1 time World Champion only. No doubt!
