I think they used the barcode on the side to gain better grip from the bridgestone tyres.

I understand that Rossi wants a barcode on the side of his bike next year as well.

I hear Rossi wants to wear a Nolan helmet next year as well, due to the fact it has better aerodynamics.

Why is it brave? It's just a number, and in the context of this sport has a very clear meaning. It's reserved for the previous year's champion.

Why is it brave? It's just a number and in the context of this sport, numbers do have particular meaning. 1 is reserved for last years' Champion.

the #1 plate is a curse , that's why only the bravest could put it on. Clearly krusty the clown is not one of the bravest out there.

Pity we might loose team roberts for 2008 ... i'm pretty sure they could do a lot more if there is money. Probably wsbk would be the better choice for them, just don't try to build a completely new/crap bike like foggy-petronas. Roberts could pick any of those brands kwaka, suzi, yam, duke, the evil empire, etc, surely kurtis or junior could be among the top 5. Ten Kate could do it w/out support from the evil empire.

i reckon motogp would die soon, high cost, high maintenance, small number or riders, teams ... wsbk is the future

as for numbers - i believe they do have a bit more meaning that the limited meaning you give them. but i dont know - and nor do you. some people believe that numbers are the codes of the universe, and the universe has more important things to do.
