are we all so lobotomised in thinking that youth is all that counts ? Do artists have to stop painting, or making music just cos they are 28 ? Why can't riders saty for as long as they feel fit enough to do so ? isn't troy bayliss still able to kick most riders, even if aged 38 ? Didn't he win a MotoGP race at 36 ?
It's only the media circus that wants you to believe a champ is out when older than 26...

Morgue, go to MotoGP.com there is an article. Don't jump to conclusions unless you do a basic search. ****head. Or don't you believe the official website if it goes against your opinion?

Parker, how did Rossi stay close to the very top ALL season this year on a bike that surely WAS NOT the best? Any answer? I've said this soooo many times but, I guess I'll have to say it yet again, who else has been at the top in this entire DECADE on a Yamaha other than Rossi and Biaggi? This year's M1 was 15-20kmph slower than some of Rossi's competition(Rossi said)and yet, sooooooomehow Rossi was able to keep that Ducati and others honest on bike that was much slower. Call us "groupies" all you want. The facts are there for you to see. It doesn't matter anyways, you can hate him all you want but, that won't make him go away, it'll only fuel his fire so, HATE ON!

I read in one of the bike mags that viewing figures had dropped by almost 30% in Europe after 70% of the 2007 races compared to 2006... One thing is for certain... MotoGP.com ain't gonna tell you that.

Parker. I'm VERY suprised to hear you appreciate Rossi's talent. You seem to laughably stick the knife in at any given opportunity. I'll read you posts with interest from now on and see if you can be objective... Bet you can't!

AFX, Unfortunately people read posts without understanding what is said. Just look at what Laterrus has said above. He can't not understand that I think Rossi is a GREAT rider. He doesn't understand that I don't HATE Rossi. I hate groupies!
The comment he makes about the M1 being 15-20kmph slower is not at all factual yet he claims I can't face the facts. Nor does he understand that no other Yamaha is the same as Rossi's Yamaha. Any casual observer of MotoGP knows that Rossi always gets better equipment then a team mate or a satelite rider.
I hate groupies who use any illogical arguement they can dream up to give reason to why Rossi was beaten fair and square this year and last year.

cont. Biaggi, Sete and a multitude of riders through out the history of the sport have used the excuse that their equipment was not as good as the winners. There is nothing new about this. What is new is the groupies who don't follow the sport but follow the man don't recognise that in the past Rossi was the one who had the advantage and the one that the others whinged that they could have beat if they had the same equipment. I reiterate. I THINK ROSSI IS A GREAT RIDER. IS A GREAT ASSET TO THE SPORT AND IS A GREAT SHOWMAN. I also believe that Perdosa, Stoner, Hopkins, Hayden, Lorenzo, Tousland, Melandri etc are all great assets to the sport and when Rossi is gone the sport will live on.

I think you do have a great disliking for Rossi Parker and the only reason why you half-way pretend to like him is because your words would fall on deaf ears here if you just came on bashing him.I agree with you on one thing, I'm sure Rossi's bike is better than the other Yamaha riders but, do you think the M1 was even close to the performance of Stoner's Ducati and do you think that Stoner could do as well as Rossi has with the exact same Yamaha? I think not, if you'll be honest. Rossi was beat fair and square if you let the bikes alone tell the story but, alot of people have said Stoner won because he was "Better" I'm sorry Parker but, this just isn't true. His mechanical help was "Better"

Laterrus, You are right in saying a lot of people have said that Stoner was the best this year. Alot of those people are in MotoGP. Team bosses, other riders, Ducati themselves came out and said that "people say it is all the bike and this flatters us but in truth it is Stoner".
Laterrus, you are not qualified to say with authority that Stoner only won because of the bike. And when you and the other groupies continue to say this despite the facts that suggest if this was the case it would have been ducati 1,2,3,4 in the championship, it defines you as uneducated groupies. No serious commentator has backed up your claim that it was all bike. So continue with your BS because it defines you.

Parker, I apologize for coming at you the I did.I'm not a racer in MotoGP and nothing any of those guys do will affect me ultimately but, I've seen soooooooo many people stomp on Rossi because he lost the title again this year despite him being Stoner's biggest problem for most of the season. The man is truly a "Great" in this sport and "I feel" like people should recognize him for that and not as the guy who lost to some other guy. If he were on that Ducati, I'd be hearing you say he was on the best machinery and that's why he won. You know that's true too. If Rossi does somehow make it to Ducati and rides along Stoner on EQUAL machinery and Stoner beats him, I'll admit stoner is better.

You're right Parker, I'm not and expert but, referring to what you said "if this was the case it would have been ducati 1,2,3,4 in the championship" who's to say Stoner didn't have the "Best" bike out of all the other Ducati riders like you said Rossi had out of all the Yamaha riders? On your statement: "No serious commentator has backed up your claim that it was all bike." They didn't have to back it up. Look at the races this year for the proof, especially China. Rossi kicked Casey's butt all over that track to only have it all stripped away on the straight, which happen to be the longest straight out of all straight run in the series. I can PROMISED you that I'm not "Uneducated" cont.

Parker, listen mate, with respect, how can you possibly hope to be taken seriously when anyone who praises and applauds Rossi is lauded with your stupid "Rossi Groupie" label? How can you also contradict yourself by saying in one breath he is a great rider, but in another saying he is only where he is because he is because he has always had the best equipment available? Read your previous posts mate, you come across as a t.i.t as you have no objectivity. Then you slag people who know nothing about the sport. Were youthere in 2004 when he switched to Yamaha? EVERY expert under the sun says it was a massive achievement being on an inferior bike... was is the best bike? C'mon mate...
