are we all so lobotomised in thinking that youth is all that counts ? Do artists have to stop painting, or making music just cos they are 28 ? Why can't riders saty for as long as they feel fit enough to do so ? isn't troy bayliss still able to kick most riders, even if aged 38 ? Didn't he win a MotoGP race at 36 ?
It's only the media circus that wants you to believe a champ is out when older than 26...

Good news.. Go Rossi! Go 46!!! :)

@Ace27: Motogp will die
Quite pathetic comment and unreasonable, hehee. Is that all you have? Hahaa

@hondaisti: VR will kneel down before uncle honda, begging him to take him back.
Let me put it into the right way.. Honda will kneel down before the great VR, begging him to ride with Honda again..!

@Morgue Morgue: MotoGP will die if they don't do something about the electronization of the sport
Well said, I completely agree with you. F1 has done something with TC, LC banned next season.. Security purpose my hell, don't ride if you fear to fall. Don't race if you fear to loose.. Rossi never fear any of them! That makes him great!

At the end of the day all we want is fantastic racing in 08, apart from 2-3 races moto was just boring, if you look at the wsbk last year every race was wheel to wheel, its not that rossi winnig for 5 more years is the problem its the racing,go back to 990 thats were we need to be, year haydon won best racing in years, stoner wins boring (not his fault), why not have 2 races in a weekend like wsbk and bsb would that not be good

i really dont get some peoples problems with rossi wantin to ride for another 5 yers, he clearly has the talent, i cud understand if it was someone like barros who doesn't have the skill to win a championship, but we all know rossi does, even the people who say on here he doesnt.

as for the tyre switch, its all good sayin michelin will make a comeback but remember bridgestone are getting better and better why would they have a drop? its not like the jap's get much wrong these days anyway.

roll on 2008 i say, as for the rossi haters who say he hasnt got the skill to win anymore, stick stoner or pedrosa on the yam, will you say the same thing about them?

ciao

I don't see how motogp will die with five more years of Rossi. Ten years ago I doubt this forum could have existed. There simply wasn't enough interest (I'm talking about vast numbers, before I am accused of not being a "real" fan). Every post here eventualy refers back to the curly one and subjects about Rossi often accumulate 200+ posts. Love hime or hate him, he is still the hub of Motogp (and thats is after failing to win the last two championships). That why he stirs up so much emotion (positive and negative).

Just to relieve the tension folks has anybody seen the 125cc field for 2008 a manufacter from China has entered the fray with a bike called a Loncin the team will be based in France and the rider will be Frenchman Alexis Masbou ex 250cc,in 2004 Loncin made 1.5 million bikes so this could excite the 125cc ranks, knowning that over a billion Chinamen will be watching the 125cc events Dorna may make the 125cc race the main event :D :D :D
Ever thought if Rossi and Stoner both retire in 5 years time,,,,,this forum will be full of blank postings and peace will rule :) :) :)
