I have nothing against Australians, just against mindless gloating.
When I wiggle your wombat or poke your possum a bit you cling together and get all defensive and sensitive, very sweet ;)
Now the way I see it Stoner won, Pedrosa came second and Rossi third.
You may think an Australian won, a Spaniard came second and an Italian third, that's fine by me
but please... world domination?
On average people don't give a toss about motorsport, it's just our little hobby :)

The Ducatis (please remember there was more than one out there!) had a straight line speed advantage as per it's designer's intent, I can't see how this stopped him crashing as he had to make up his bike's cornering deficiency (when compared to the Yammaha); you don't have to be a riding god to know you lose the front in corners not on the straights so his straight line speed, so how did the bikes straight line power stop him dropping it in the corners? :?

You could see from Stoner's body language that he had to fight that bike round some tracks. IMO he just learnt, and he's one of those young riders that like to explore the limits in order to learn how hard he can push. My 2 Pence

Another post I do/don't agree with. It's true that the Duc had a top speed advantage, but more importantly, the duc's ecu made the most difference in the corner exit. The throttle was allowed to open much earlier than the rest of the grid, in a much more controlled manner...this is where i think stoner had trouble in the previous years, in the corner exit, not entrance (i could be wrong, but didnt he highside more than lowside?)
What i do agree with is that Stoner is a rider thats willing to test the limits of himself and his motorcycle, which makes him a fantastic rider and a true champion, but also one prone to injuries and inconsistencies

I also don't agree with the hypothesis that the Ducs straightline speed means it has less cornering capability,
it seems to have much more drive out of the corners, great balance too, the Yamaha is the more nervous machine (Mamola after testing it at Valencia). The Duc has the raw power to pull away from every other bike. And I'm not even mentioning TC or tyres. Stoner has the balls to go flatout with the thing and his riding style suits the bike perfectly (obviously)

I just saw a tourist wearing clogs and eating salted licorice.

It made me laugh.

the way some people write is very far from what you find in a dictionairy ;-)
Esppecially when you see **** marks in a post...
