I see the loathing goes deep Ace, calling him a criminal and such.
The Italian tax office is after Capirossi too, for the second time, as well as various football players.
In Rossis case (and Caprrossis, he lives in Monaco) they are dealing with someone that lives abroad, he has a house in London and one in Ibiza. They try to make a case over cars he has registrered in Italy and thus try to 'prove' he lives there,
which is bull**** because he already left in his last year of 250 when it was becoming impossible to walk the streets in Italy because of all the fans chasing him.
He will work it out, don't accuse someone if you don't know the facts.

MOTOGP » Rossi: My dream is to stay

During Friday's Fiat Yamaha team launch, at Turn in Italy, Valentino Rossi unsurprisingly faced questions about his post-2008 plans.

I believe that Dani's lack of live weight could be disadvantage not strength or fitness but live weight, having rode Speedway for 20+years many years ago weight and balance and where you put on the bike could make a world of difference, getting your balanced weight to the correct place at correct time made the difference to traction and drive and whether you stood on the right foot peg or not and where you had your left foot(which skims the track for balance, drive and steer)it doesn't hold the bike up.MM's idea of extra weight could be a good idea providing it is live weight Eg strapped to Dani on the lower part of his body.I would imagine that weight distribution on a GPbike would be critical

Hahaha... Dziady z, impossible and stupid are Rossi's things. If he not doing those, it means he was losing. Those things are motivate Rossi as he kind of a rider that racing by heart and he win when he get creative and determinations to show his victory parade antics.

Ducati and Stoner are strong now and give Rossi a reason to beat a champion like he used to. If Rossi was motivated enough, we would have an explosive MotoGP season with battles between strongest riders, machines and teams.

Hehehe... 1 more day to see them back to riding... :)

Back on track! Hot topic; seems like everyone is getting nervous 48 h. before the facts ;).

Dani is a superb rider and he can win if(1) the bike is perfect (2) it is dry and sunny (or with TC @ 100% control in the wet) (3)He's alone in front.

The problem with Dani is that he CAN race against someone that is stronger or equally strong BUT he CAN'T keep up the battle and come out on top. He seems to give in by default if "the other" is a tough character that does not mind playing it rough and fight the thing out on track. I remember comments from Dani that implied he expected people to "let him through and let him win". Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo and Melandri are the though kind...

Is Valentino that good on the brakes?
I can think of a number of crucial times when he really needed to be very good he wasn't.
1) Valencia 2006 when he lost the front end going into the Dohan corner, result Nicky won the championship.
2) Sachsenring 2007, going into the hairpin after the steep down hill section, he lost the front end trying to overtake Randy DP, result Dani romped to victory and Valentino's championship assault went down the pan.
Maybe it isnt a matter of braking. Could it be that Valentino is a bit of a bottler.
