Yeah they are all over the place compared to the first days testing. Looks like Michelin might have the upperhand (on a home track for Bridgestone as well). Great to see JT making steady progress. No point in falling off and breaking something before the season starts ;)

Anyone think RDP and Edwards might have put a qualie in? Randy did a twenty lap stint in the 202's (still fast but a long way off his best time). If this the case then Michelin have always had a good qualifying ture.

yeah great to see toseland up there!, lets hope he breaks into the top 10 tomorrow.

yamaha's seem to be going well, edwards faster than rossi with the old spec engine but with new chassis lets hope yamaha have built a winner this year, yeah i want to see rossi win it again, but i also want to see lorenzo, edwards and toseland fighting up there as well.

bet rossi doesnt mind looking at the time sheets and being top bridgestone, can only give him more confidence.

Good question jh...I don't think they would do that...It wouldn't get them any quality data, maybe it's a little pysche war on the part of michelin? But i don't think so

As for Rossi and the other yam's...great to see all of them up there, and on different tires! Speaks volumes on the versatility of the new bike.

I hope it stays that way, though, thru development, we should see them split between the have's and the have nots at some point. Question is...will it be JT or JL up there with Rossi?

i think your more likely to see lorenzo up there with the front runers, the transition from 250's to 800's must be easier than 1000cc superbike to the 800's

lets hope toseland is consistently inside the top 8, guintoli impressed me last season, why cant a double world superbike champion do the same?

hopefully he'll get used to it and come donnington, he'll be able to break into the top 5, i think that cud be a realistic outlook, but he's going to have a lot of new tracks to learn, so its going to be a difficult first season, JT has the metal to see it through tho, lets just hope in years time, were not sayin the usual, give JT a honda or a ducati and see what he cud do.

No qualifying tires at Sepang until now. Maybe tomorrow.
All Hondas were running 2007 engines. No pneumatic valves though the 2008 engine is there, but still under testing in Japan and not received the "go" for track tests.
De Puniet's race simulation 2 tenths faster than last year winner's race time.
Rossi and Lorenzo have pneumatic valves, not the Tech3 riders, but Edwards has an evo-chassis. Kawasaki probably begin to realize Hopper and West suck at developing a bike, hence 4 riders at Sepang. Melandri, Elias and Guintoli very slow on the Ducatis which seem to be very special to ride, which is confirmed by Capirossi being instantly fast with the Suzuki.

All going well for Rossi except one thing - he's fastest rider on Bridgestone... but those on Michelin are faster! I start worrying for Rossi. Let's hope that switch wasn't a mistake...
