Jako, the "swipe" was just a come back at M M's "wonky" rant. I know that Pedrosa is talent squared, but so are all of the boys out there. We all know that the "factory" team is Spanish, the sponsor (huge dollar....or huge ****) is Spanish, the "hopeful" is spanish, hello? Nicky has put in more laps of work than Pedrosa will his whole career. I will say, Jako, that if you think Honda doesn't favour Pedrosa, than maybe you may be a little naive, son. Nicky gave Honda a CHAMPIONSHIP and Honda gave Nicky a bike made for Pedrosa.........and the thing was ***** Come on now.--Slideways

MOTOGP » Hayden: New engine no breakthrough

Nicky Hayden got to try the latest version of Honda's pneumatic-valve engine on Wednesday's second day of testing at Sepang - but it didn't deliver a clear step forward.

The words ''ship'', ''sea'', ''no-compass'' spring to mind...

Well, this comment says it all, there is definitive not much progress at all by Honda.. Yamaha seems to go to pneumatic valves as Susuki and Kawasaki already have.
It becomes time that they make up their mind and start developing!!

Man, that is some bad timing for Honda,
Just at the moment they need both works riders to evaluate what they've got Dani breaks his hand and Hayden is standing alone...
IMO he should be selfish and choose what HE wants and thinks is good for HIM,
if that's the pneumatic valve engine they should go ahead with that.
With their manufacturing potential they could easily run both though,
in '06 Hayden also ran a different engine (clutch construction) on his own.

No racer believes that anyone is faster than them. Anyway, most posters here want Nicky to win the WC this year. Know what I mean MM, eh, eh ;) ;) ;)

Interesting. It looks like Honda is losing it's technical edge to other competitors, especially Yamaha.

M M, you crack me up!! That's what happens when a company like Honda puts all their eggs in the "pedrosa" basket instead of a warrior like Hayden. When you back someone who is built like my little niece at all of 100 lbs or so, and she...I mean he falls, he's gonna break and not be able to soldier through like Hayden can. If your going to spout out at the mouth, please have a ton of knowledge prior to doing so.

doohan stated something like honda has the tendancy to develop something novel, like putting the exhaust on the tank, putting the tank underneath like spencer nsr in 1984 ... then they did great with his nsr 1992 bike, after his injury the 1993 bike had big power but useless because racers like beattie, criville and itoh just rode them ... what honda need is a commanding rider, rossi did well with them, don't think nicky has that calibre, pedrosa could be the man ... sadly his injured ...

Chris Borgman - I think your swipe at Dani is misplaced. The little guy is a real tough fighter and outstanding talent. He fractured is hand in a bad crash, **** happens! I think it's also wrong to say that Honda unfairly favour Pedrosa. Just look at the patience Honda had with Nicky during his difficult 2007 season. Personally I think the Repsol Honda team have great balance and a great chance of taking the titles in 2008.
