Why will Rossi be unhappy , he's gathering data on new tyres , doing long runs and in the mix time wise , the thing with him is his race pace will be great , but he's got to learn what the Bridgestones are like after 8 years on Michelins in the main class and now is the time to do that , it is what pre-season testing is for surely.
You lot do make me laugh , the Rossi lovers and the Rossi haters , funny as **** the lot of you.
Roll on some great racing this season and may the best man win.( Whether that is Casey,Vale,Nicky,Hopper etc etc... )

Is this the first time Colin Edwards is fast in preseason?
Remember where it got him?
Never underestimate Valentino Rossi, he did a decent job for a shakedown of a new prototype,
it will be interesting to see if they stick whith the pneumatic valve engine and if they solved the fuel consumption issues.
Lorenzo did a great job on his now bike, he's going from strenght to strenght.
Stoner fantastic also, battling clutch, electric and shoulder problems.
Hayden is fastest with an engine he doesn't really want... where will it get them?

Colin Edwards, Colin Edwards...... Why is he ragging on Rossi every chance he gets? Like the time he said that Rossi leaving Michelin wasn't that big a deal because rossi used "harder" tires that no one else rode so, the developing Rossi was doing wasn't very beneficial to the other Michelin riders. Now he's saying Michelin has uped their game bigtime. Thats seems like he's ragging on Rossi too. In a sly way. Maybe not. It's like he blames Rossi for him always being slow. YES, he's been fast during this test but, he always seems to be fast during tests, just not in the races, which is where it counts. ---Continued---

He was slower than Rossi while he was on the same team as him and I'm sure he'll be as slow or slower than he was now that he's on a different team. Now that he's out of Rossi's shadow, I guess he thinks he's a bigger dog now than what he was. He's not though, in the Grand Scheme of things. Stoner finished 2nd today so, I'm hoping this means Bridgestone is still as reliable as they were in 2007. Lorenzo was blazing fast today and there are no excuses that can be used to explain how he went under the 2'01' mark. He was just flat-out amazing today. ---Continued---

If he can keep this up during actual races which are very different from a mental aspect ("I think" because of the consequences if mistakes are made) then, Rossi need not look out of the Yamaha pit for his biggest Rival. It's still very early in the season and it's a new bike/engine/tires for Rossi as well as Lorenzo. I am sure that The Doctor will come out swinging from the 1st actual race on!

Laterrus, give me a break!!! You need to do more reading on Edwards commentary before you say he is a Rossi basher. It is quite the contrary. He has repeatedly said Rossi is the best. He has said he deserves all that he gets. He said he has seen him win on a bike that Edwards considered unrideable. Those people out here that have been to more than one "Bar-B-Q" know this is just testing and although being slow could be reason for concern being fast is not the "end all be all". That being said, "Good on ya', Hayden!!!

Rock on Colin! Let's hope he can carry it through to the actual season now. :) Vale on Bridgestones is definitely going to make the season more interesting...

I think CEII problem is he used so much energy during test season. When the race season started, he lack of fitness on inferior bike. No doubt CEII can ride well. But, he always going backward similar to Checa when thing get hard.

He need more fitness to ride like a young riders. May be a fitness rehab would help him getting firm ground on 800cc riding all season long.

After three days of testing he had literally blistered his hands,
he also complained about a sour bum stating that things get weak after six weeks off the bike...

Casey Stoner has just been honoured in Australia for Australia Day (26 January 2008) as "Young Australian of the Year 2008".

Must have flown down from Malaysia overnight to be at the announcement.
