What I dont understand is that everyone of these riders are soooooooo much better than anyone else on the planet! there are so many haters and uninformed ******* making comments that just dont make sense. Nicky has to do the development because the Spanish Hobbit does not have enough stamina or humility to do the hard work If Honda built the bike for Nicky he would be a force to be reckoned with every race

"The pneumatic-valve engine - as much as I hate to say it - is just not fast enough" - Nicky Hayden.

Gold Zydon. "Pinky Pedrosa" lol...gold.
Alright Chu, So Pedrobot is the better 2fiddy rider and Ex YWCNH is a better big bike rider, just so happens 800 is somewhere in the middle. If Ex YWCNH had a full blown 990 to suit I think Ex YWCNH would be mostly better, I dont deny that Pedrobot would win a round or 2. And if I might throw a big if in the works, I dont think dani could handle a 500 either, just trying to highlight that i dont think Pedrobot has the strenght to handle some tracks.
Also I think his days are numbered, a few more injuries and he's done with, he brakes easy.

I also think motogp as we (dont want to) know it will change in the next 2 years, either electronics will be altered or engine capacity will change to bring back the biff.....or lose tv audience, the hardcore will never leave.
I think between WSBK and Ezpeleta, Ezpeleta has come to relise peaple want to see the bikes "move" around like WSBK bikes do. The motogp powers that be may push the idea that WSBK is a lower form of racing but as it is now i think they have the "show".
Motogp in short is in crisis, things need to change now and it wont benifit 2fiddy riders.

I am completely with you on the electronics thing Morgue. It is a shame, but what can you do? Since sticks and stones, technology has always led down the path of no return. It never stops. The young take to it as common place and "follow" it ever further. One day the TC generation may reminisce about the times when bikes had internal combustion engines and actually touched the ground, much like you and I remembering 2 strokes with hair trigger throttles painting lines in every corner...I'm afraid electronics are here to stay buddy.

Maybe...
but it may lead to a situation where a residue of spectators wonder what they are actually watching,
a race or technological progress?

Well the problem when watching a hollow carcass
is that it sometimes needs a closer look to realize just what it is.
that's when you also notice the smell...

If you believe Dornas figures...
at Assen we used to have up to 140.000 on raceday, 200.000 over a weekend
what was it this year? around 86.000 ?

It's just I've been following this sport for almost 25 years and I don't think it's improving.
