I think it is not just the bike with Casey. As the collective keep saying "where are the other Ducatis". The Ducati is fast, no question but it does seem that Casey is the only one to be able to squeeze that bit extra out of it. I think both Casey and Ducati were both very lucky to have found this marriage made in heaven. Casey needs this package to exploite his abilities and Ducati needs Casey to exploite their bike.

MOTOGP » Stoner: It couldn't have been better!

Casey Stoner's debut on the Ducati Desmosedici GP8 may have ended with an injured shoulder last November at Jerez, but the MotoGP world champion was all smiles after a formidable return to action at Sepang this week.

Tank you've just completely contradicted yourself, first you say "he can adapt with any bike and with the title" then you go on to say "The two years Rossi didn't win he had many issues" - So which is it to be? BTW Honda did a perfectly good job of winning the title in 2006 without the aforementioned services. Are you sure your not really chu-mp chu-mp incognito?

Come on Harry#3. You don't win 7 titles by default. Yes Rossi might have had the best equipment during much of his career (show me a WC who hasn't), but not all of it. If he had the best of everything, exclusively thrown at him do you seriously think Honda would have let that happen while he was at Yamaha and vice versa. They would have pulled out if they thought they could not have a shot at the championship because of favoritism. The same with Aprilia during 250 and 125. I am not a "Rossi groupie" (my opionion on Stoner can be seen below) but The guy is/was (delete as appropriate) a bit special. Tall poppy or not, the fact remains.

If Stoner was given the same M1 as Rossi , I 'm pretty sure he can do better then Rossi .His skill is far far outshine Rossi .

Gents before you hunt me and kill me,all im saying is he (rossi) in my view is not the goat, doohan is thats all, when rossi was on the honda he could win each race by 10 mins now he can barly win, rider or bike, rossi once said its rider that makes the differance so he moved to yamaha to prove it, know its tyes its the bike but not rossi, look at the czech race he was almost look like a rookie riding in that race than a world champ, tankmax the last race of 2006 roosi had a 8 point advantige over nicky and crumbled so is that the actions of a goat???????

Casey friend, It might be an idea for you to check your facts. Stoner has immense skill, that is prerequisite for any individual riding in the class. If you check what all the other riders are saying, that it is engine management systems are what have made the difference. Also see comments from Jerry Burgess. Why do you think Stoner crashed so consistently the year before last? His LCR Honda had nothing approaching the level of sophistication that the Ducati had last year. However, facts are facts, Stoner won the title convincingly.
I'm hoping for all the riders & bikes to come out in top form, and give us tight racing from the first to last race
