I think it is not just the bike with Casey. As the collective keep saying "where are the other Ducatis". The Ducati is fast, no question but it does seem that Casey is the only one to be able to squeeze that bit extra out of it. I think both Casey and Ducati were both very lucky to have found this marriage made in heaven. Casey needs this package to exploite his abilities and Ducati needs Casey to exploite their bike.

MOTOGP » Stoner: It couldn't have been better!

Casey Stoner's debut on the Ducati Desmosedici GP8 may have ended with an injured shoulder last November at Jerez, but the MotoGP world champion was all smiles after a formidable return to action at Sepang this week.

casey f, no I didn't contradict myself... when he won the 2 titles he was on inferior machinery no one could do anything with that bike, yet he did, the last 2 years he has had many tyre delaminations and engine issues forcing him out of races I can't see any rider able to ride around those issues but I can see someone ride round an inferior bike and he did... oh and yes Honda was given the title in 2006, are you kiddding me that will be Hayden's first and last title. You say that if Stoner was given the M1 he would would do better than Rossi, go back 2 years and tell me how good he did on a Honda which won the championship that year... Harry I'll say it again "Rossi 7 World Titles" goat?

Some of you people who are always on about Casey and his reliance on the electronics of the Ducati should see 27 to 1 a doco on Casey, in it it shows him ride the bike with no aids at all and the comments were " He has the throttle control of Wayne Rainey " another legend. He has set a new benchmark in Motogp as Rossi did before him and Doohan before him......his corner speed is the fastest out there and no other bike he had could handle it, so he crashed !!! Face the facts he is the best and he has taken Ducati to where it should be No 1. :)

The time for talking is at an end. We will see what the TOP 4 WILL DO.!!... Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo....After those 4, once in a while we will see the others. Personally, I think Stoner has no answer for anyone if he is caught early as Dani Pedrosa (DP) proved towards the remaining 2007 races. It looked liked DP was the man to beat. I am no Rossi lover, but you don't crown a one time WC as the best unless he proves it, so lets wait and see. It seems as though Yamaha is being secretive about their top speed. Especially since Rossi is predicting that he will go with the pneumatic valve engine, when last year he cursed it. I think they are using Stoner's strategy and trying to hide it.

Looking at all the other Ducati riders past and present, perhaps the Ducati is like a beautiful woman,it takes the right man to handle her,JH yep I believe if Casey and Ducati hadn't found each other neither would be World Champion.Casey's acception speech for "Young Australian of the Year" was about as bumbley as his press conference after a race, so he hasn't been to Toast Masters during the break, and of course not tooooo many Australians know who the hell he is.The Ducati must be a dog to ride I thought Marco would be able to ring its neck, but then I believe de Puniet has one of the best natural riding styles,,,,so I know nothing. Off to Phillip Island to-morrow,well somebody has to do it.

Yeah he is not the best with speeches......lucky it does not transfer to the way he rides bikes. He is pretty shy around crowds and that doesnt help him much , maybe age will help. I have been riding Ducatis since 75 and unless set up well they are a handfull......Casey did something that not many riders have been able to do and that is jump on one and ride it fast from day 1, an awesome feat !!!

What peaple dont get, cant handle or dont want to beleive is Casey is, has always been instantly fast. Casey has always been seen as potential WC and peaple like MD, Mamola, Agostini, Beattie and Sheene (RIP) have guided him, most common advice is to "slow down". It easier to get a fast rider that crashes to slow down than it is to get a slow rider to go fast....old school....

Casey is in the fast catagory.....what does that say....

When Rossi has a bad feeling with the front he pits and complains, when Casey has a bad feeling with the front he pushes on, the kids got balls.

Yeah you are right there Ace !!! Maybe after this year it might sink in that he is here to stay.....I just wish people would give all the riders out there their dues, all of them have there good points and bad ones and some are better than others.....but they are all there coz they are the best in the world !!!
I just hope this year its good racing and no more back stabbing from the armchair critics !
