I think the thing that most of the arm chair critics on this forum forget it that Colin brings something to MotoGP that is badly lacking and that character and class. Regardless of his record Colin is highly regarded in the paddock and his great personality draws huge crowds and mad respect from fans and his factory. Very few other riders can last 5yr in MotoGP, not score a single win but still have solid support.

The angry smurf pedrobot could take a lesson on character and team work from Colin.

Colin's going to have a great year, take his maiden win, exit Motogp and go back to AMA with a FULL factory ride for 09 and 10.

MOTOGP » Edwards: Having fun - going fast

"My motivation level is quite a bit higher than normal. I always feel like I'm motivated, but this year, with the new team, it's fun" - Colin Edwards.

My God... the season does not start for over a month and you lot are already talking about where Edwards is going next. I'm sure that his final decision will be made during the year when he finds out if he is still competitive. After the comments he made about Foggy back in WSB, I took a dislike to Colin, but since watching him race in MotoGP along side Rossi and after reading his column in Two Wheels Only magazine, I have a new found respect for the man! I hope he does well this year and we will see what happens next year when the time comes.

It seems like colin goes where the rumors lead him. I feel if there is a strong public/paddock opinion he's finished he'll leave, or if its strong to stay or move to a certain team he will.

I don't want Colin to leave, he's a great personality...BUT...Crash.net reports:

''Colin has been widely praised for his sincere efforts to help Toseland adapt to prototype machinery and the Englishman was recently quoted by the Press Association as saying: "This is going to be [Colin's] last year in MotoGP''.

That worries me.
James woudn't vounteer Colin for retirement, Colin must have told him.
Looks like the fun American is leaving then. :?

That Stauffer guy. Toseland wouldn't have said the wrong thing at the wrong time would he? Dont forget these guys spend their time racing bikes not taking media management courses.
