If that happened to Rossi, rest assured Carmelo Ezpeleta would have a major say in the punishment part of it. If it happened to two other riders people would've just shrugged.
In this case, being a team mate and the situation in the championship blew it skyhigh.

When your team mate is leading the WC with only 2 rounds to go and you know that realistically you don't have a chance of winning the championship then if you had any integrity you would show a bit of respect for the team and support your team mate. And not be a selfish **** and try a wreckless lunge which could have cost Hayden the WC. I really, really hope Hobbit finds himself on the receiving end one day and never, ever wins anything in motoGP.
