Hopkins is an extremely talented racer. It takes a lot of things to be successful, not the least of which is supreme self confidence.

It's good to see that the kid still has it after so many years on machinery that wasn't capable of taking on the Honda and Yamaha factory bikes. Until last year, they didn't appear to be in the same neighborhood with the big boys.

Last season will have left him with a powerful resolve to be on the podium more often and ultimately on the top step.

MOTOGP » Hopkins: We'll take Kawasaki to the top

"Now it's the riders' turn to go out there, tell them what the problems are, and get this thing to the front of the pack real quick" - John Hopkins.

Very funny, it''s gotta be one of the better quotes from a rider, Im not sure if he could get in any more double dutch.
Sounds like a ****ney con artist trying to sell you a watch, some parts good some not so good.. nudge nudge wink wink say no more...
"On the whole this week''s gone really good," reflected John. "We''ve had some more new parts here. It''s been pretty much hit-and-miss; some things good and some things bad. Pretty much off and on, but for the most part the pros are outweighing the cons - that''s the main thing."

I'd like to hear what Ant West has to say. Kawasaki are searching around for a rider to bring them a world champion. I dont think it will be Rossi but i do think the engineer will be Burgess. Rider could be ... They are going to throw a ***** load of money at the project.

I got to agreed this is the best quote ever from Hopkins about his ride. He seem matured with what he was saying now and know which direction he want to go.

I guess it is the real reason he was moving to the team green. No speed complaining like Suzuki and Yamaha team riders. It's just to make the thing right to get them to the podium week in and week out.

Being a Kwak-man myself I would love to see the Kawasakis take some podiums. I never understood why they don't run faster. Budget? Their street machines are probably the best you can get.

Hoping the green boys can step up their game and mix it up with the top teams. Actually, I am hoping that Suzuki will also follow suit. It would be nice to have all factory teams having equal chance of getting on top.

BTW, how much money are Monster pouring in? Any idea on what's kawasaki's budget compared to other factories?

Burgess came out of retirement because he saw potential in Rossi,
their bond has created some of the best results in the sport.
They will not split up, he may rather retire.

Long time no see Wise Mumu! Great to see you signed up :)

Both Kawasaki and Suzuki are claiming to be fast. Not everyone can be at the front, though. So, at whose expense will it be for Kawa to be at the front? Not likely to Ducati and Honda. It will only mean one thing -- the clown and other yammies will be relegated to also-rans

Kawasaki might be able to produce a bike that will win again at some point, and only time will tell but NOT with Hopper on board, NO CHANCE!, the odd result maybe but not constantly....
