Doesn't sound like something JB would say. Does anyone have a link to the interview where he made these comments - I mean 'Carlos from Angola' sounds a bit dodgy don't you think?

MOTOGP » Edwards, Stoner star at Phillip Island

Colin Edwards continued his impressive 2008 form during the first day of testing at Phillip Island on Wednesday, where the Yamaha Tech 3 rider used a qualifying tyre to lead Ducati's Casey Stoner by 0.6secs at the MotoGP world champion's home track.

If you want a dark horse, go Colin. you'd think Fiat Yamaha would be there, new rider, rider on new tyres, but who knows. Maybe they're planning to test on their own. You can be sure though that CE is running the new electronics, but it's surprising he doesn't have the new engine for no other reason than to check it's reliability.
BTW It's funny how everyone kicked up about the one tyre rule and keeps going on about TC, when both WRC and F1 run control tyres and F1 just dropped TC. The sky hasn't fallen on them yet. Rossi for Tech 3 in 2009.

If Colin Edwards was a race horse then 2 years ago he would have found himself been served as the main course in a Belgian restaurant.

same ECU for every bike ... if that means standard hardware for every one, the best will always win ... but if the whole hardware and software are standard, that is unfair, each bike has it owns character

Every MotoGP team puts their resources for best riders.
Why Casey is so good in Ducati compared to other riders?
Because the team's priority is to win. Casey has been the
proven winner for them. So, they focus on Casey first.
The best mechanics, engineers, even bike development, adjustment go along
with Casey.

Not a single team spread the resources evenly to all riders in the team.

I agree Nabi. Just look at Edwards now that he is not playing tester for Rossi. He is faster on a Satelite bike than he ever was on the 2nd factory bike. Every team supports their best chance rider once that rider is determind.
Yamaha - Rossi
Ducati - Stoner
Honda - midget
Kawasaki - Hopkins
Suzuki - Chris and Loris

Ok so Suzuki are the exception but by mid season they will be behind one or the other.
